Fusion rifles are completely broken and need a buff (Cozmo replied)woot woot

They don't even shoot where you aim The recoil on a high stability fusion is the same as a low stability The hip and ads recoil pattern is the same Bungie, fusion rifles are broken and you need to fix them

          • I feel like I hit my targets just outside melee range with all the projectiles, and my target doesn't die. It's not rewarding enough for the risk of having a charge up time. I'm referring to the IB fusion rifle Ashraven's Flight, which I love. But at close-medium range it should be a one shot to the body and it usually isn't.

          • Fusions were a broken concept from the start. Having them charge between trigger pulls instead when you pull the trigger would be much more viable.

            • Fusion rifles have always been an oddball in the game, until recently they were more accurate from the hip instead of ADS, and they have a really unpredictable shot grouping, plus the only reason they were really used was to drop enemy shields or cover an element that classes didn't have in year one, but now they are my babies and all they need is some accuracy tune ups so that they can use their full potential

            • Why are we just now hearing from anyone on bungie's side about fusion rifles? We've been plenty vocal about them since last week when the patch dropped. That guy on twitter said the changes were intentional and that the patch notes were wrong, does that mean they gutted fusion rifles on purpose even though they haven't been amazing for a long time? I'm starting to think that: 1) The patch was full of bugs/mistakes and was not tested in-depth. 2) They are trying to save face by saying that 3-week old patch notes were full of typos. 3) They don't want to spend the time/money to release another patch to fix their new problems and intend to wait until the next major patch to take care of them. Instead we'll hear "We didn't feel X was performing to our expectations even after our last patch, so we're going to give them a bit of a boost" 4) They intend to roll with the fusion rifle nerf saying "We felt that with the shotgun changes, fusion rifles would be to strong and so we decided to hit their ADS stability too." You'd think with the extra money from emotes, sparrow racing, and now their class+subclass boosts (none of which I will ever spend money on), they could at least do a better job with balance and implement patches more often.

            • Bump, it seems like the nerf on hip fire affected ads the exact same way. I would like to think it'll be fixed, the community has noticed almost right away but the hot fix only fixed the log book. I hope it's not till next update.

              • Only pocket I can kill and that you need to wait 3.5 seconds before charging in with the trigger down lol the other fusion rife sate useless and have been since high impact shotguns came out.

                          Weren't they always broken though? The only time i ever recall them being decent was release, but then they got nerfed in the first weapon patch and I haven't seen them since. Almost forgot they existed tbh. Maybe cause I don't have ttk

                            You know this actually needs a fix when the entire community, even non-fusion users can admit it's broken. I've spent time getting my Susanoo to 310 for a reason, I would like if it actually is usable again.

                              For some reason I do have a problem hitting the target, just hold down when you fire to counter the recoil, what I'm pissed about is the damage. I used to use my 300 fusion and telesto in crutch situations when getting overwhelmed be cabal or knights and it would do massive damage, now it won't even one shot a level 16 at close range. I'm so over their pve nerfs. Full on wrecking the game.

                            • Fusion Rifles are really really bad now... watching pre-patch/post-patch Telesto is the best way to see how bad they are (since you can see where it hits very clearly because of the delay the projectiles have). It now shoots the projectiles in a horizontal line, and a single one is not enough to kill most enemies in PvE, except if it is a very weak enemy like a Thrall. Bungie, stop changing weapon behaviour in PvE just because you want to change them in PvP. You proved to us that you can do changes in PvP without reflecting in PvE with the 1st Vex Mythoclast PvP nerf, so STOP BEING LAZY!
