I try to give my titan 300 intellect, bastion and untouchable, my helm has bonus super energy from non-guardian kills, mix all that in with bad jewjew and i constantly have my ward of dawn.

Now though, not so much as the range is less than spitting range and the added slowness is going to get you killed by the speedy greater ranged melee players, as in just about everyone else.
