Does your life actually flash before your eyes as you die?
I've been asking myself this question lately, and since I've never had a near death experience, I can't really answer it.

1 ReplyWhen you die your brain will heavily excrete dimethytryptomine and with that hallucinagenic in your system your brain will have no choice but to begin showing you things and the only thing your brain stores are memories so all of your brains memories will be shown to you before you die. Sweet dreams.

1 ReplyMy mom was turning left at a stoplight and as she was turning left another car passing through the intersection came really close to hitting us. When that happened for a brief moment my vision went completely white. That's all I can say about near death experiences.

5 RepliesI've had a few near death experiences before and I have to say only sometimes. Like once a jackass tried to hit me with a car and I had it flash before my eyes. Another time I was in a car that was falling it didn't flash before my eyes and I just watched as we fell and I covered my face. So all in all I think it's situational.

9 RepliesYes because it is your brain's last ditch attempt to find useful information that might help save you. Certain things, like drowning, you won't find a good way out of so your brain will sift a lot of memories in a short space of time. People have recalled documentaries they half watched twenty years ago that have helped them out of animal attacks and things like that.
