So I've beaten every level except for Data Hive and Coastal Highway. After beating Kikowana Station or whatever it's called, I went back into Mombasa Streets, but it sent me to a mission I already played, the one where Buck has to reach Dare's pod. But that was the first mission I played... wtf?
Posted by: OHay McMuffin did you quit out without saving properly? bungie messed up with the saving, you have to quit out of campaign, and THEN turn your xbox off
You mean like every other halo game? I have had the same thing happen with my save, but I knew it was coming. If you look at the icons next to the missions in level select you will notice that the level you have completed will have the normal/heroic symbol next to it if you've already beaten it. you could go through the whole game from the menu after your first playthrough if you felt like it. The only thing it wouldn't save would be your exact location and weapons in mombasa streets. I'm playing through on legendary and I'll have to do bucks level again, I think, but it wasn't that hard anyway, so that's fine. Regardless, your audiofile and weapon's caches are always saved in single player. It's certainly a little bit counter intuitive in spots, and takes a little getting used to because of the hub/mombasa streets, but it's hardly broken, and once you've beaten the game once, it's easy enough to restart from wherever you want.

do it with a friend who already has it. I had the same problem it suxs
-
Ya same happened to me I had to re-do the whole campaign. I guess people just have to be carfull and beat the game before the repeat any missions. It sucks.......
-
I've never actually had to replay a mission, I think its just because people do not realise that they need to set the next way point on their VISR to go to the next mission.
-
I did it solo. I have 0 friends on Halo. I hope it is b.net being slow but I want my Legendary Shield for Mombasa Street in my Replay Mission Select so I guess I play the whole thing through. Don't want to do the Mombasa Streets but I guess I can handle it. I am actually glad the separate the Solo and Co-op like they do but they should have made separate Achievements for it. When I was playing Halo 3 and beat the Legendary Campaign I was like man all the people who did it Co-op get the same Achievement and it was a fraction of the difficulty. I know because I just sat back and watched my friend(at the time he had an xbox) die a scmillion times and re-spawn until he made it while I had to tough it out on a Solo run. Oh well, I will wait. I wonder how slow it can be because it updated my boards the next day. I did however not do Tayari, Kizingo or ONI Alpha while connected so they don't register on my history on B.net but only on my 360. I have the achievement as anyone can see.

Yeah the same thing happened to me but the campaign is so disappointingly easy that I flew through it to Data Hive on Heroic.
Posted by: Preliator
Posted by: phastroh117 Yeah but I played through on Normal and went back on Legendary and without doing the Mombasa Streets on Legendary you only get the Achievement for Legendary but your Service Record will still say Completed on Normal(if that is how you did it without just doings the boards.) The have a shield for the Drop and for the Mombasa Streets in your Mission Select. Just watch the intro on Legendary for that one, it is so dumb but for the Mombasa Streets it would seem you have to do the whole game as intended, set on Legendary to get the Legendary Shield on your Service Record. Like I said I have the Legendary Achievement but if you see my Service Record it contradicts that with the Normal Shield. SSSSSTTTTTTUUUUUUPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
that's just b.net being slow. it did the same to me with halo 3. took almost 2 weeks for my service record to update to show i beat it on legendary
It is because you probably did half of it on solo and half on co-op, like me. I really can't believe I have to do the ENTIRE campaign all over again... omg...
Posted by: GHOST REVOLVER
Posted by: MOOSAPOLUZA That is because you went back and replayed a mission which erased your campaign. You have to beat every level again to unlock the last two beacons. It happened to me too. My advice. Switch to easy and run thru the game then when all levels are unlocked then you can replay on legendary
That is absolutely retarded. *doublefacepalm*
It is completely retarded. *facepalmsquared* [Edited on 09.24.2009 1:18 PM PDT]

yeah this happened to me yesterday, i had to restart my campaign, i think its because we arnt clicking "resume solo campaign" but are clicking on the level we are up to in replay missions which is stuffing it up.
Posted by: XxPresidentxX It's called a flash back mission ...
No -blam!-, sherlock. I already played the mission. But the game sent me back to the same beacon I already got and made me play the same mission.

Same here, I finished Romeo's and BAM! Back to start. If this is some kind of glitch I hope it gets sorted soon, it's so annoying :/
