So if I pay $10 USD for the Record Book and I accidentally dismantle one of the awarded pieces of armour, I cannot get it back through any means. That's great! There should be a set of Record Book Armour in the Sparrow Kiosk for as long as the SRL Event is live.

Are you aware that you can lock your gear to prevent it from being deleted? Do you realize that it is the exact same way for the legendary racing gear as it is for all other legendary gear in Destiny? If so, are you saying that racing legendary gear should be handled differently than all other legendary gear in Destiny?

You don't pay money for all other Legendary Gear in the game.

Only the rewards that everyone can get without buying the book have higher than light level 3. You do not get the light-level 3 gear for buying the book at all, but rather, buying the book gives you the opportunity to earn them by completing certain activities. You have never paid real money for armor in destiny no matter how you want to twist the facts. If you get something you like, then you should lock it if you have a habit of unintended deletions, but don't expect Bungie to replace it, especially after they provided the ability to lock your gear to prevent accidental deletions.
