Guided Support! Please Note: •Players must have Destiny: The Taken King and be at least Level 5 to participate in the Sparrow Racing League activity. •Rare quality Sparrow Horns will become unusable after the Sparrow Racing League event ends, but will not be removed from player's Inventories. Players can manually discard these items from their Inventory. •Legendary Sparrow Horns will remain useable after the Sparrow Racing League event ends. •Sparrow Racing League Quests and Bounties cannot be completed after the event ends. Bounties can be discarded from the player Inventory and Quests can be sent to the Abandoned Quest kiosk. Please note: The Sony Console Exclusive Quest “With Finesse and Speed” can be completed after the event ends. • Please ensure that the active character has ample Gear slots, Inventory space, or Postmaster space before opening Sparrow Racing League packages, such as the Racer’s Toolkit faction package, or the Mystery Bag items purchased from Eververse Trading Co., such as Sparrow Toolkits. • Bungie is aware that players using Hair Trigger features on controllers are not able to initiate a full Sparrow boost. If possible, please disable this feature. • Excluding the default "Happy Horn", Sparrow Horns cannot be re-acquired through Collections or through Eververse Trading Co. if dismantled. Please use caution when dismantling items, as they cannot be replaced. Update 12/9/15: • We are actively investigating issues impacting the Sparrow Racing League Record Book. Something I've noticed since the December update: upon completing a weapon field test, it will show "completed" while the weapon is equipped, but as soon as a new weapon in equipped (so that the completed weapon can be discarded) the yellow highlight disappears and the description will show "100% progress" but not "complete." Far as I can tell it's just a matter of visualizations, no actual effect on gameplay, Gunsmith Reputation gains, etc. As for SRL itself, I'm enjoying it. It can be a lot of fun. It can also be immensely frustrating. There have been a few races when I was maintaining a rather strong lead (could fit 3-4 "emblem" spaces between mine and second place on the right-hand side tracker), and then something absolutely STUPID will happen. For example, on Venus, the volcanic cave right before the waterfall. I have had my sparrow busted to flaming on an invisible "Rock" at the bottom of the ramp, and I have been flipped upsidedown and continued to "breakdance" spinning on my head a full 8 seconds before the game finally decided "he ain't gettin' up, blow him up and reset," by which point the entire pack had passed me. 1st to 6th. Not a fun time. But the worst one, again ending a rather commanding lead, coming over the "man-cannon tunnel" on the Mars track. Came in full speed off the last boost gate, yet over the course of this "bridge" that is supposed to be self-propelling, my speed dropped like a bad habit and I was unceremoniously dumped half-off the opposite cliff face, left to scratch and claw my way back to a stable footing, and once again, 1st to 6th in an instant. Oh, and when are these 320 Light drops supposed to happen? Best I've had so far was a 298, which is decent, sure, but not close enough to 320 to make a difference. I don't want to end on a sour note, so I want to say thank you for finally making Collector's Edition class items actually usable again. I must admit having dropped the extra $20 on the CE just to get 170 gear that was MARKED as TTK gear and yet could not be infused was immensely frustrating. So, when can we infuse/improve Year One Legendaries to TTK standards? I miss my Iron Regalia and Deathsinger gear (among others). Edit: Ok, so much for not ending on a sour note. Bungie... *deep breath* Fix that mother--blam!-ing light bridge on Mars! Nine times. NINE -blam!-ING TIMES! And that was just tonight. Nine times that stupid "boost bridge" threw me STRAIGHT into the goddamn cliff face. "Oh, you thought you were making the jump, eh? -blam!- YOU, eat rock." So many -blam!-ing races lost, so many laps gone from 1st/2nd to dead last by a mile all because that -blam!-ing thing all of a sudden can't -blam!-ing work right.
