The one on Venu– Variks [i](through the microphone)[/i]: STUDENTS! [i]Everyone quiets down.[/i] [b]Variks[/b]: As you all may have heard, Tower Highschool holding very special event this year. Have not held event here for many years... [i]The students all begin to whisper, overflowing with curiosity.[/i] [b]Variks[/b]: ...How many of you know about the Trials of Osiris? [i]Struck in awe, the students all begin to shout and yell, both nervous and excited.[/i] [b]Variks[/b]: Yesss... Trials of Osiris. Being held at Tower High. From it will rise three students, ready to claim the fiery brand of victory, yesss? Now, it is with great pleasure that I would like to introduce our Trials of Osiris game-warden, Brother Vance. [i]Vance steps up to the podium, gesturing the students to quiet down.[/i] [b]Vance[/b]: Ladies and gentleman. Hunters, Warlocks, and Sunbrea- I mean TITANS. Welcome to the Tower High Trials of Osiris! I see no point in talking any longer than I have to, so I will get right to the point. Crucible. But with a twist! Two teams of three, one life for all. Whichever team eliminates the other first, wins. Win five matches, and you win the game. Win the game, and you proceed to the next round. At the beginning, all teams will be placed in a qualifying round. A battle royal, if you will. The last 8 teams standing will be admitted to the first round of matches. [i]The students begin looking around. They've only just realized that in under 24 hours, they could be engaging in combat with the same person sitting next to them right this minute.[/i] [b]Vance[/b]: Guardians... The challenge with which you are faced is a great one, but I have every bit of faith that every guardian in this room has the power to rise above the rest and claim the fiery brand of victory. [b]Erik[/b]: Where do we sign up?! [i]The students all look over. Standing in the crowd is a heavy-built student, wearing bulky black armor, with a bright orange mark attached to his waist and a fiery orange visor on his helmet. Behind him are two other Titans. Both wearing black with orange marks as well, but one is wearing a deep red visor. The other is using a bright yellow one.[/i] [b]Sunny[/b] [i](whispering to the others)[/i]: Who are those guys? [b]Flint[/b]: No clue. [b]Void[/b]: Beats me. [b]Striker[/b]: ...They're the Summersets. [i]They all look over.[/i] [b]Solis[/b]: Erik, Darion, and Troy. Group of brothers. All Titans, and all Sunbreakers. [b]Storm[/b]: You're joking. Three Sunbreakers? [b]Solis[/b]: Yep. Three jerks, at that... Those guys beat me, Strike, and Bubbles one time too many. Never got the chance to return the favor... [b]Vance[/b]: Just outside, you'll find the sign-up sheet. There are 45 slots. Last time I checked, that's 15 teams. Meaning that it's first come, first serve. [i]All the students in the assembly were quiet.[/i] [b]Vance[/b]: You better hurry, guardians. [i]Before the blink of an eye, several groups of students all over the gymnasium leaped up and sprinted for the door.[/i] [b]Solis[/b] [i](grabbing Nightly and Storm)[/i]: GET UP! [i]Solis pulls Nightly and Storm as he runs for the door, taking them with him.[/i] [b]Storm[/b]: What?! Are you out of your mind?! [b]Nightly[/b]: Why are you bringing us anyways?! [b]Solis[/b]: Because we're the three best subclasses, of course! It's a tactical advantage. This is one competition that I am NOT gonna lose to those lava-brain freakheads! [i]The teams in the gymnasium all converged on the door, shoving their way through.[/i] [b]Violet[/b]: The subclass generations... He's on to something. [i]Violet looked at Flint and Strike.[/i] [b]Violet[/b]: You guys wanna give it a shot? [b]Strike[/b]: Hell yeah! [b]Flint[/b]: Let's go! [i]They ran for the door as well. The only three left were Blades, Sunny, and Bubbles (who was trying to see how many fingers he could fit in his mouth).[/i] [b]Sunny[/b]: We're gonna enter. Right? [b]Blades[/b]: You kidding? Come on, let's get outta here. [i]They all got up and headed for the door. Sunny saw the others talking about strategies, weapons, and armor. They must've signed up in time... But there were three slots left! Sunny tapped Blades on the shoulder, nodding towards the sheet. Blades shook his head, and kept walking.[/i] [b]Erik[/b]: Hey! [i]Three titans popped around the corner. It was the Summersets.[/i] [b]Blades[/b]: Sup. [b]Erik[/b]: Not much. How bout yourselves? [b]Blades[/b] [i](looking back at Sunny)[/i]: Just leaving, actually... [b]Erik[/b]: Oh, that's too bad... To be honest, I can't say I'm surprised. I mean, I'd feel pretty bad if I had to beat up a maniac obsessed with fire, a perv, and a...
