I'll say that the changes were fair... Less time to fire your shots for one more kill I main a hunter as well actually :| I'm not going to bring the guarantee kill logic because that's just salt at that point In defense for all the warlocks and Titans us hunters were the reason why the HoS super was nerfed and a lot of stuff was nerfed because of us... Just hope one day the hunter community would stop complaining and enjoy the game USE LOGIC of the symbiote decreases your time but gives a 4th shot you have to be A LOT smarter with your super usage, is it worth the exotic slot? The choice is up to you to decide guardian

  • It was NOT solely hunters that complained but a vast majority of both hunters and warlocks and a few titans who weren't wearing rose colored sunglasses. The complaints contributed to the nerf, but in large it was the data that they collected on their end that showed titans who used HoS in crucible had a higher kdr than normal for the most part.

  • That is true and even I won't argue against that because I wanted HoS to be toned down I've mostly found that hunters complained against the Titans and vice versa Warlocks don't really say much now do they? Hahaha

  • Warlocks tend to be the minority that actually get something good. Sunsingers have an over shield for super/melee and good grenades, voidwalkers have obsidian mind with bad juju making them have supers up 80% of the time and tracking grenades, and stormcaller is a good roaming super, not to the point where it's outrageously op, but can be taken down with a shotgun melee. The thing is, this forum is filled with people who can't formulate an educated opinion or to give a valid reason as to why they want so and so to change, so they just point fingers.

  • Obsidian mind only works if you get around 5 kills at once with it... at least year one Obsidian mind did. Year two might be different, but getting that many kills with a single nova bomb isn't worth having the helmet on.

  • I'll agree with that to a certain extent, but it's a good helmet for a warlock for that subclass. I just feel that hunters were screwed over with a shorter duration if you use that helmet. It's rare for me, when I played crucible, to see a hunter get off all 3 shots that were individual kills. I think that if the helmet were to take away the 4th shot and make it so that the duration is a little bit longer along with the combustion perk, I would gladly see that 4th gg shot get scraped.

  • The thing is, I as well as many other players want a reasonable justification as to why they did that instead of keeping the player base in the dark. Obviously when a new patch comes online, you as a PR would want to try to respond to the community to interact with them with some sort of feedback. Let's say they say that it's to balance gunslinger in crucible. Well ok, that's fine and all but the relatively short super already makes it difficult to get off 3 shots WITHOUT the helmet AND you can get killed mid animation losing your super. Now the helmet reduces the duration even further? Maybe they want variety as to what people use as exotics, but if GG lasted as long as stormtrance or HoS, I wouldn't mind being penalized for an extra GG shot. I know alot of people would argue to use GG at a crucial point like on heavy spawn, but with combustion, you can just take out the team with one or 2 shots leaving the other 1 or 2 shots unused and by the time you find an enemy, it's long gone. /endrant
