You need to actually punish players who are exploiting the logbook. They know they are stealing $10 worth of content and they don't care.

All your fixes of previous exploits without punishment have bred this type of mentality. All these people think, "Bungie won't do anything." And now it's expanded from harmless exploits to get ahead in the content to people are knowingly stealing things with a cash value associated to them with no remorse because you won't do anything. Theft is theft.

Maybe i don't care because bungie already stole $60 from me. I spend $120 on this game and it's dlc, only to have noobs come in and get the game and 3 dlc's for $60. They can kiss my ass if they think i'm paying $10 for a shader and a sparrow, especially after that shit. They can think of this as repayment for that $60 they took from me.

Nobody is getting $10 worth of anything for free, they get a couple useless helmets, right? Not the whole log book and all the rewards, right? Also, nobody who pays is getting $10 worth of anything either. The whole thing is so glitchy it wouldn't even let me buy silver to buy the damn thing.

That's all I've seen. How can you get the whole thing? I played with it and tried to buy it (without success as I mentioned) it didn't give me the log for free. Is that bc I tried to buy it?

Edited by Andrenden: 12/10/2015 2:35:45 AMThey aren't buying the log. They are viewing the log in the vendor and it shows THEIR play stats. If they've met any of the goals they can redeem them right then and there, this goes for the whole book. Some have even completed the whole book and gotten the emblem for it without buying the book itself. In essence the log just sits in your inventory as a redemption point for goals anyone can reach. The issue here is that people are able to use the display model for prize redemption. Something they should've had to pay $10 for to be eligible for the prizes.

Should be free is another matter entirely. If it was free for everyone then sure but it's sold to us then an exploit allows people to steal, *yes it's still stealing* the content instead. If Bungie had sold the item then had a price drop people might be salty but it's another matter entirely to have people just steal it with no reprocussions at all. At least a store would ban the shoplifter from re-entry.

That's not just lowering the value of the old stuff I had, I was erasing it. At no time could you get destiny with all the dlc for $20 to justify me having to pay $40 for the dlc. All in all I'm in for over $140... And remember...if I didn't buy the dlc I basically couldn't keep playing the game at all.

That's a lot of content for such a small price. Everyone who bought it as it was released? $40 per. Now I'm not mathematician but 5*40 is just a tad more than 20... I think, like I said not a mathematician... Also, you could still play Destiny. You just couldn't do the end game content as that content is for the end game. When new content is released the end is moved so... This happens in all games of this nature.

Again, at the time you could not buy the base game for $20. That's the difference. And you also lost the ability to do daily challenges, most strike playlists, nightfall, and most of crucible.

This isn't a matter like a store putting something on sale after we've bought it. This is standing in line and buying it for the agreed upon price when watching as no one stops people from just taking the good off the shelf and walking out. They aren't even banned from re-entry of the store.

Best recommendation I saw was to lock them out of the gear via a "requires logbook" thing. Not really a punishment but ensures only the people who played can use momentum gear.

Would require you to always have the logbook in your inventory. Whose to say the book serves a purpose in the future? I mean it says Vol 1. So I can assume there maybe be a Vol 2 later. But in the event that it's depreciated this would only serve to prevent you from actually using your gear

It seems like the best fix so far, maybe you won't need it in your inventory. Just like how the eververse store knows I've already purchased something like emotes that aren't in my inventory. They probably have ways to track it.

I get excited when I'm able to glitch things in destiny. One of my favs was glitching out of the map on SABER while I posted of LFG for two others that wanted a free ride.

Your the idiot who spent 10 dollars on a book that tells you your stats when u can look on the destiny app and see your stats boohoo cry some more. I exploited it cause bungie messed up not my fault im getting better gear from winning races then that book so quit bitching and play the game.
