Anyone know if emotes qualify as tricks? I don't have a Tumbler and want to complete the tricks part of the book. Can anyone confirm this for me please?

U can do tricks on any sparrow in srl use d pad while airborne finish mine in 5 races

Edited by Lord Optic: 12/9/2015 7:00:14 PMUsing the Tumbler I was able to get the trick bounty completed using the D-pad while in the air (superman, no hands, etc..). This also added to the status for tricks in the book. I haven't tried any other trick sparrows yet.

you can do tricks on various sparrows now. some allow you to flip and barrel roll if you hold the right trigger while airborn and use the thumbstick to rotate. others use the d-pad to do tricks while airborne. If you look at the kiosk i believe the second page has "upgraded" versions of the sparrows you already own that have these options.

If you complete the S Class part of the SRL Quest, you get a sparrow kit and get a trick sparrow.

The tumbler and the red bull quest silver both can do tricks. Emotes don't count as trick unless you by new ones.

the emotes you buy work but pointing on your sparrow left right and forwad dont work

You may get one that does tricks tomorrow when you complete the bounty requiring you to complete ten other bounties.

Someone just told me the d pad works for tricks. So I guess try them out if you have the chance, and let me know. I won't be home for another 10 hours at least, so I can't quickly find out

I don't know about the record book because I refuse to buy something that is going to go give Bungie the idea that sort of thing is OK. If our silver purchases paid for this event we shouldn't have to pay more to reap certain rewards. To get them earlier? Sure that's fine but not the way it is now.

It's a sparrow, emblem and shader. Literally just cosmetics, but hey if this is what you choose to freak out over, far be it from me to stop you

I'm not freaking out. What and how much it is doesn't matter. What matters is the silver people already bought is what funded this. Any and all rewards should be obtainable without paying another dime. This is bad business plain and simple and if people let then get away with it this game will go to hell.

The refer a friend quest sparrow does what the tumbler does

Nope, one has hard braking (Vector) and the other releases stabilizers (Tumbler).
