[b]EDIT[/b] - For those of you that don't want to scroll, I posted pics of stock piled Exotic engrams 50+. Then screen shots of opening them. I pretty much received all the new exotics (Armour, and weapons).

I managed to stockpile 6. When the patch dropped i opened them and I got twilight garrison!!

Actually we were still right. The only reason why this worked out for you is because the exotics were already in the pool when TTK dropped. They just held them back with some coding. Which is why some people managed to get the new hunter chest and titan chest early. Had this been another dlc the stockpiling wouldn't have worked.
