[BUNGIE] Sparrow Racing League Vital Information
With Patch 2.1.0, [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/pub/sparrowracing]Sparrow Racing League[/url] is available to all Destiny: The Taken King Players.
This event introduces the new PvP activity Sparrow Racing and the new Sparrow Horn item type. It also includes new Sparrows, Gear sets, Quests, and [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=14062]new items in Eververse Trading Co[/url]. The Sparrow Racing themed activities, Quests, and non-Legendary quality Sparrow Horns will no longer be available after the event concludes on December 29th.

Please Note:
•Players must have Destiny: The Taken King and be at least Level 5 to participate in the Sparrow Racing League activity.
•Rare quality Sparrow Horns will become unusable after the Sparrow Racing League event ends, but will not be removed from player's Inventories. Players can manually discard these items from their Inventory.
•Legendary Sparrow Horns will remain useable after the Sparrow Racing League event ends.
•Sparrow Racing League Quests and Bounties cannot be completed after the event ends. Bounties can be discarded from the player Inventory and Quests can be sent to the Abandoned Quest kiosk.
Please note: The Sony Console Exclusive Quest “With Finesse and Speed” can be completed after the event ends.
• Please ensure that the active character has ample Gear slots, Inventory space, or Postmaster space before opening Sparrow Racing League packages, such as the Racer’s Toolkit faction package, or the Mystery Bag items purchased from Eververse Trading Co., such as Sparrow Toolkits.
• Bungie is aware that players using Hair Trigger features on controllers are not able to initiate a full Sparrow boost. If possible, please disable this feature.
• Excluding the default "Happy Horn", Sparrow Horns cannot be re-acquired through Collections or through Eververse Trading Co. if dismantled. Please use caution when dismantling items, as they cannot be replaced.

I am assuming bungie is aware of the unequal treatment of sparrow nudging? It seems I cannot do nearly as much "damage" to a fellow racer than they can do to me. This needs to be fixed for sure. Why not just remove the physic of being able to touch another racer all together?

If you want to make us happy just turn off the catchup logic and let us race, I'll deal with the weird physics and even the players with laggy connections jumping around on track, but please stop the person behind me getting an automatic 5% speed increase just for being in second place.

4 RepliesThis so called rubbing needs to be removed. I cannot count the number of times I've been in the leas only to get rimmed from behind and thrown off course while the cheating rider has absolutely no problem continuing, or the fireteam that enter and use some members to weave all over the track to block everyone else or choose members to essentially ram everyone else off the track near constantly. This isn't racing. This is bumper cars. The people who wanted a sparrow race haven't received one. We've received a frustrating game of bumper cars where the rules of physics are seriously -blam!-ed up and every other player is a cheating arsehole either helping their buddies by knocking people off or ramming decent riders out of the way, while utterly unaffected by the collision.

6 RepliesHow is this supposed to work? The racing n actually competing that is. Cause my sparrow is the slowest no matter what. I get bumped around till i blow up. Or just thrown off the map. Yet everyone here including u will say its just me get gud scrub. Its a joke u have no real help section . I come for help n i will be ridiculed. An you will do shit about it. Just like the 200 mil post before me. Its a sad fuking world we live in.

Make it so that you can claim multiple pieces of the Momentum armor from the book, it makes zero -blam!-ing sense that you can't. Seriously, I can't believe that book was $10, especially since you can't even get more than one of each piece of armor. You can get multiple sparrows and shaders (and I'd assume emblems, haven't gotten there yet) but not armor? Why the -blam!- is that?

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, and I didn't really mind that it happened, but week one of SRL I did daily bounties Tuesday through Sunday for a total of 18, then picked up Monday's to do on Tuesday, and when I picked up the week 2 weekly bounty, it already had 8/10 bounties completed (I assume the other 8 from week 1 after I finished the weekly). I didn't mind, but just thought I'd mention it.

So i still cant complete the quest for sparrow racing league....... I cant complete the first step so im stuck all together. Which means no rewards and we are already a week in. What the heck?

Bungie when are you going to fix the problem with the finishing line in the SRL for PS3 not registering people being first and setting off the thirty second timer but getting bumped down the leader board to 4th fifth and sixth? Because this is a serious problem and if each of these "events is gonna be like this people are gonna quit until destiny 2 and maybe won't even come back for that.
