[BUNGIE] Sparrow Racing League Vital Information
With Patch 2.1.0, [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/pub/sparrowracing]Sparrow Racing League[/url] is available to all Destiny: The Taken King Players.
This event introduces the new PvP activity Sparrow Racing and the new Sparrow Horn item type. It also includes new Sparrows, Gear sets, Quests, and [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=14062]new items in Eververse Trading Co[/url]. The Sparrow Racing themed activities, Quests, and non-Legendary quality Sparrow Horns will no longer be available after the event concludes on December 29th.

Please Note:
•Players must have Destiny: The Taken King and be at least Level 5 to participate in the Sparrow Racing League activity.
•Rare quality Sparrow Horns will become unusable after the Sparrow Racing League event ends, but will not be removed from player's Inventories. Players can manually discard these items from their Inventory.
•Legendary Sparrow Horns will remain useable after the Sparrow Racing League event ends.
•Sparrow Racing League Quests and Bounties cannot be completed after the event ends. Bounties can be discarded from the player Inventory and Quests can be sent to the Abandoned Quest kiosk.
Please note: The Sony Console Exclusive Quest “With Finesse and Speed” can be completed after the event ends.
• Please ensure that the active character has ample Gear slots, Inventory space, or Postmaster space before opening Sparrow Racing League packages, such as the Racer’s Toolkit faction package, or the Mystery Bag items purchased from Eververse Trading Co., such as Sparrow Toolkits.
• Bungie is aware that players using Hair Trigger features on controllers are not able to initiate a full Sparrow boost. If possible, please disable this feature.
• Excluding the default "Happy Horn", Sparrow Horns cannot be re-acquired through Collections or through Eververse Trading Co. if dismantled. Please use caution when dismantling items, as they cannot be replaced.

6 RepliesEdited by ROFLMEOW: 12/20/2015 9:37:23 PMBungie, for the love of god, TURN OFF PLAYER CONTACT and get rid of all enemies and giant fans until you fix the lag issues by adding dedicated servers! Lately I can't even finish races because some racer targets me for sabotage (sticking with me the entire race just to shove me around and make sure I don't finish), the fan blades on Mars lag-jump to hit me when I should be clear, enemy attacks are literally sending me airborne, and sometimes my sparrow stops dead for no reason.

meh - I'm over the SRL thing, this should be a fun little distraction, not a freaking "event". Cut the lap length by 30% and add some more maps, and maybe an in game mission - might make it more interesting - but now, it is just tedious. Reminds me of playing miniature golf, I'm here for the FP shooter, not Mario Cart.

I keep finishing a few seconds before the next player I even hit more gates than him but I lose to him I can't even get in top 3 many times because of this

NO HORN DELAY? I dismantled horn to receive delay ... So that I can upgrade another horn to legendary. But I got nothing. Did I do something wrong??

Is this correct? I didn't plan on racing with my other 2 characters because I only have limited time per day to race. Can this be fixed? I wanted the Titan helm.

Do you have to hit a minimum amount of gates in order to get anything? Or can you go an entire race without hitting any gates and still get something?

6 RepliesIs there any way to stop the race rigging program. I have a quest its says to finish 3 races with out blowing up. I cant finish it because the game keeps giving me the mars track. I have gotten it at least 10 times in a row. I had to quit playing so maybe i can get in the venus race, later. But! The point was. I am hauling butt around the mars track 1st, 2nd or 3rd and just blow up for no reason. I dont have a booster and there were no enemies around. Just blew up and then theres this thing where the game stops me at the finish line so everyone can catch up and when they catch up it lets me go again but of course i only get 4th or 5th place. I also noticed that when people get beside me my sparrow tends to turn in their direction like its being pulled by a magnet. WHen i hit people i suffer. When others hit me i suffer. I think this game picks certain people out of the crows and screws them. If i dont have any quest i get top three everytime. I dont blow up and i dont get stopped. There is a race rigging program in this game. I have no doubt in my mind!

I get a blue rare item in first place.. Guy 15 seconds behind me in last gets legendary 300 helm.. Happened 3 games in a row.. Yeah that makes me wanna keep playing it :/

8 RepliesHow about we fix the reward system? The highest armor piece I have received is 309 helmet, and that's finishing anywhere. Mainly low. However when you finish in first place you get a crappy shader or rare armor piece or blue engram while THOSE WHO WILL NOT EVEN FINISH THE RACE IN TIME ARE BEING REWARDED GEAR BETWEEN 315-320. WHY DO YOU ALL ALWAYS DO THIS. IS THERE NO POSSIBLE WAY TO REWARD THOSE WHO DESERVE IT OR IS THAT JUST OUT OF THE QUESTION.

I am assuming bungie is aware of the unequal treatment of sparrow nudging? It seems I cannot do nearly as much "damage" to a fellow racer than they can do to me. This needs to be fixed for sure. Why not just remove the physic of being able to touch another racer all together?
