And see this is exactly why guys aren't particularly ok with girls playing games. Now don't get me wrong, I play with some girls who play destiny, but when you go out of your way (aka this post) to attention whore it becomes obnoxious. And when girls blatantly attempt to show that they are a female, guys are going to play off that. No guy is serious when sending a girl a friend request, it's just friendly banter, if they were serious then I can agree it's weird. But again, when I go on lfg and I see a girl post "only 305 light, I'm a girl though, message if willing to carry" which I did see today, then it's not fun. It ruins the whole experience of playing the game. And when girls play cod, what the -blam!- is the reason for you stating that your a girl gamer in your emblem? Again that's screaming attention whore. No one gives a flying -blam!- if your a girl gamer, your not a special snowflake, shut up, play the game, and stop seeking attention. No guy wants to deal with an attention whore girl while trying to enjoy video games. And then there's Anita sarkeesian which I'm not even going to go into because if I do I feel like I might jump off a cliff. And why the -blam!- are you reporting people to gaming services, that's so ducking stupid, no guy every calls Microsoft because some dude asked him to -blam!-. Of course your going to be messed with then, because that's stupid. Don't respond to this post, you have nothing to gain and everything to loose. And I'm sure you don't want to have to call Microsoft on me because I "hurt your feelings"

Holy case in point, Batman. 1. Females are about 55% of the human race. 2. All the OP is asking is for girl gamers to be treated like PEOPLE...and not your (or anyone elses) LAST HOPE of ever getting a date...and not to be verbally abused if they reject someone's (usually) awkward and inappropriate advances. One guy to another. Grow up...and I hope to God you don't talk to your mother like that.

I have my opinions and you do to. But girls coming onto video games seeking attention is very obnoxious in my opinion. I'm fine with girl gamers, but I don't like girl gamers that ignore the game to get the attention of guys.

When you **finally** grow up, you'll realize two things. 1. A lot of things in life....just aren't about you. THIS is one of them. 2. Some things in life....just don't need your opinion on them. This (once again) is one of them. The OP is tyring to make life just a LITTLE bit better for girl gamers who are afriad to use their mikes. Afraid to speak up. Afraid to identify themselves in any way as female because of a male gaming culture that doesn't treat them with any respect. Which I've gotten to witness first hand. I have two Destiny characters that are female...and about once a month I get chased either from the Tower or from somewhere in the Wild becuse of some guy thinking its a woman behind the toon....and starts giving it unwanted sexualized attention. The world is a LOT bigger than the tiny corner that is your personal experience of it. Learn about it.

You're an idiot for suggesting that sexism isn't a legitimate prpblem in gaming and elsewhere, and that she is making this post for attention instead of the actual reason which is to highlight what the issue is and perhaps to get a little revenge on men for being complete jackasses. I just want to point out that in this day and age they wouldn't be pretending to be guys. Guys don't play the game because they're guys. They play because they're gamers. The girls in turn should act like gamers. We're all gamers.

I think you've missed the point here. She was getting a load of annoying messages from a random guy just because she was a girl. If she'd pretended to be a guy then he wouldn't have bothered her. The point here is that people should be able to be themselves without douchbag losers harassing them.
