Fallout 4 Legendary farming
Step 1) save game before entering building.
Step 2) save game after entering building
Step 3) look for legendary enemy(s)
Step 4) kill them
Step 5) if you get a weapon or item you want but doesn't have the perk you want reload the step 2 save. If you don't get the item or weapon you want, reload step 1 save.
Step 6) have fun kiddos!!!
This is how i got my explosive shotgun.
Edit: it's better if you do this on entering an internal area

6 RepliesYou didn't even explain it right. If you're going to copy something try to at least explain it right. Side Notes: Turn to survival difficulty and turn off all autosaves except for the one when entering buildings and fast traveling. This prevents the entering building autosave from being over written when fighting through the building which is important you want to keep that autosave intact. Step 1) save before entering building Step 2) enter building wait for autosave to finish then make a quicksave or separate new save in case you die while speed running through the building. Step 3) if you find a legendary item you want but the perk sucks reload the autosave from Step 2. Only using the autosave from entering the building will keep the legendary item the same but switch perks on it. This works because the autosave is created during a midpoint where the building enemies aren't fully loaded into the cell yet. If you want a different item keep reloading Step 1 save and repeat Step 2 until you find the item you want. Final Side Note: If there is more then one legendary enemy in the building only one of them will follow this pattern, usually the legendary enemy farthest from the building entrance. The other legendary enemies will remain completely random with both item and perk.

Explosive combat shotgun is super OP. Makes slaughtering hordes of super mutants super fun and easy. Blood and gore scattered everywhere even without the bloody mess perk.
