WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE
Greyson's wife, and son have been taken by a band of elite rouge soldiers. He's been hunting them for the past seven years, waiting for the day to find them. He found a soldier, one who was there the day they were taken. One of the two who promised him that they would protect his wife. His son was taken by a man who looked like their leader, a man with a skull bandana wrapped around the bottom of his helmet. His voice as cold as death itself. There was one thing they all had in common, a crown crossed by two M4's. He found one, you only need one to torture, one to get information out of.
TWO WEEKS BEFORE, 3:48 P.M.
"So." Greyson laid a scalpel on a bloody tray filled with instruments of torture, in front of him, a man who's arms and legs were bound by rope to a wooden chair. Both of the mans arms were scraped layers below the skin, so close to cutting all the veins, so close to death.
"Where is he?"
"Who..."
"Your boss!"
The man shook his head, sweet dripping from his forehead. Greyson sighs.
"This is a real simple process, honestly. You tell me what I need to know, and I let you live. But you never saw me, never heard me, you don't know me, I'm dead."
The man takes a sharp breath in, and let's out a long exhale.
"The mans in an old air base, his men are stationed there along with an assortment of air vehicles."
Greyson stares the man in his eyes, a fire rising.
"What else do you know?"
"Nothing, I swear."
"Alright, I believe you. Thank you,"
Greyson grabs the mans M9 from a nearby table. He aims it at the mans head and pulls the trigger, the mans head jerking back from the force of the bullet, then having it splattered across the wall.
"For nothing."
ONE WEEK BEFORE, 1:47 A.M.
Greyson sat on a mountain overlooking the air base, his suppressed Barrett .50. Darkness filled the night sky, it was going to be a long night.
The air base was littered with AC-130s, A-20 Havocs, F-14 Tomcats, and MiG-29s. It's perimeter lined with barbed wired fencing, two guards patrolling the outskirts of the fencing. In each corner of the base a tower is set up for watch and a main control tower set up for monitoring planes that come in and out. There is only one building in the base, it's a huge 3 story building with multiple rooms on each floor. Greyson kept surveyed the airbase for hours on end the next few days, knowing their scouting routes, exploiting their weak spots, in a sense knowing them more than they know them.
"Good morning sweetheart." Greyson used his HUD to connect to his snipers HUD, activating the night vision feature. The world suddenly illuminated around him, he took in a deep breath and let the crosshairs slide across one of the north patrol men's heads. One .50 Cal bullet cracked through the air. One the first dropped dead, a second later the other fell to the ground. Then the a minute later four shots rang out, the tower men's lives were taken away from them quicker than they were given to them.
"And I'm in." Greyson cloaks, going totally off the radar. He slowly walks towards the main gates, one second they're closed, the next they fly open. Someone on the inside spotted the bodies. Greyson slipped pasted the paramedics like it was nothing. Everyone was on high alert, on edge about who killed their friends, or possibly, family.
Greyson didn't care, the blood shed would all be over soon. As the paramedics were staring at the dead men outside the gate, he pulled a pin off two grenades and gently rolled them back. The paramedics heard nothing, but everyone else heard the screams of they're comrades. As well as what they saw? Their missing limbs, and bodies splattered all over the gates. Some of the soldiers stand in terror.
One soldier, terrified. Yet standing with his M4 out.
"What the hell is going on?!?"
"Shut the -blam!- up Carl!"
"Seriously what's going on?!?"
Sirens start to blare, a robotic voice on the intercom starts screaming.
"Battle positions, men. Scramble the fighters, protect the lower levels of the tower. Kick up any dirt around you, when it stops mid air? Fire."
Greyson stopped dead in his tracks, the soldiers all started to kick up dirt. Dust flying everywhere, he pulled out his suppressed Colt 1911 and let the bullets fly. Bodies started dropping, an F-14 Tomcat circles around the base and sees the fire, it's guns whirl up and start blind firing at Greyson. Bullets stat chipping at the air around him as he started to run towards the middle tower, where else would his son be held in this shit hole? The voice on the PA comes back on again.
"Greyson Clade, my my. It's about time you found us. How long as it been now? Seven years? Now your here, looking for your little boy. Yet where is he now? You know seven years ago today is when I took him? When that kick in your chest off of my chopper started your wild goose chase? I remember it like yesterday. Come find me. I'm waiting."
Greyson took it all in. The sheer thought of it all scarred him. He ran as fast as he could to the tower, the F-14 banked upwards, giving up on trying to hit Greyson. He came upon the tower, a door lead into a white hallway with an elevator at the end of the hall. In the elevator stood the man, he let out a robotic laugh.
"Come on, Greyson. What are you waiting for?" He gestures for Greyson to follow him, then the elevator starts to descend. Greyson starts shooting the man, his bullets bouncing off the mans armor. The elevator disappears, down, and down. Greyson stops and looks down, then takes a jump into the void.
