I feel like it would be really easy to make a really over powered class.

Scorch + flame shield/throwing knife + melting point

In this version yes, but what if in destiny 2 they play tested the combinations enough so that they could give us several different options when leveling, and nothing was blatantly OP? What if they could actually achieve a balance and give us the freedom to choose our own abilities? And what if they kept the pve coding separate from the pvp coding so if there was an imbalance in pvp they could fix that, without changing pve? [spoiler]I responded with this to someone else, thought it might be more relevant[/spoiler]

I'm speaking about doing things this way for destiny 2, they would have to put more thought into the possible combinations, but I think this would be a much better class system. It allows for more diversity between classes, and when you see an enemy in pvp throw a grenade you won't immediately know what super they have, it'll add a layer of versatility to your abilities that I think would be a good thing for destiny 2
