What is considered a decent/ good precision kill ratio? I'm not very good at crucible but I love sniping and my PKR with a sniper is 72% according to Destiny tracker. Is this decent?
Btw this is with around 2,000 sniper kills (crucible) on my warlock. My hunter is almost the same with around 1,500 (PKR varies by 0.1) and my titan is slightly lower with around 1,000 kills and a slightly lower PKR

Mine switches between around 66-68%

1 ReplyPrecision hit rate is misleading. Having the decision making ability to know when an enemy is low enough to go for the sure thing and body shot, or that you need to secure it with a headshot and possibly miss is what matters to me. Hit/kill accuracy over only precision. I know that's not always a popular opinion, so take it or leave it.

I would say 80%

3 RepliesIn about 7800 sniper kills I have 81%

1 ReplyDon't worry about it. If a target is dumb enough to turn a corner without a shield, I'm bodyshotting him and prepping for the next guy. I'll headshot him. All the special snowflakes will act as if headshots are difficult in this game. Inb4 butthurt

That is about 7 out of 10 head shots. I think that is great

I'm a lowly 53% after 1200 sniper kills on my titan.. This scrub needs to git gud! I'm not too proud to bodyshot fools though. I'll take that kill....i need it!

5 RepliesEdited by Heil hydr8: 12/4/2015 9:32:11 PMId say anything above 0% doesnt say anything for skill or how good you are with a sniper. If you are good use a sidearm, way more fun. I hate PvP because of this sniping meta going on

3 RepliesEdited by finRatman: 12/4/2015 9:45:07 PMMine is 68% in Crucible. I'm not proud. Sucks to know that like third of my sniper kills are body shots. But then again I prefer Snipers with little aim assist with the Ambush scope, which lowers it.

1 ReplyMine would probably be higher if it wasn't for the lamps and Icebreaker

1 Reply0.01%, just get praedyths are start spraying body shots breh

100%
You didn't ask the minimum. XD
A good sniper knows when to body shot. That being said, you should float around a 65% to 70%

9 Replies+75% -someone with 82%

2 RepliesEdited by NYDIBS: 12/4/2015 9:32:11 PMthe difference between a good and a bad precision kill rate is switching to your primary to finish the kill I have 72 kills and 86% with black spindle, does that make me good?
-
10 RepliesI'd say 70% is good, near or below 40% bad since you're probably just not aiming for the head. I'm at 60% with less than 700 kills, trying to get both higher, but I'm more of a "pinch" sniper: I like to whip it out when people least expect it. =P

I'm just over 4000 with a 76+ percentage. Really, though, as long as you're getting kills, you're fine.

3 RepliesEdited by Tomnipotent: 12/4/2015 9:03:57 PMStarting from August ive racked up 4000+ kills with sniper rifles with a 80% headshot rating. Half of em were from my gozen-c, it's got -6 aim assist, got an ambush scope that puts it even lower at -16 aim assist. I only pull out high aim assist for try hard games. I come from battlefield though so sniping in this game is just child's play to me. The scope doesn't even sway, no bullet travel, i just point at the head and pull the trigger lol.

2 RepliesI feel around 70% is pretty standard. Also good snipers know when it's ok to body shot. It's not all about heads
-
I think mine is below 10%...been using it to prod at enemies that I can't get in range of before my team engages them.
-
6 RepliesMine is around 70% across the board
-
I have around 7800 kills with about a 75% headshot ratio. So I'd say above 70 is good.
-
Mine.

It doesn't actually really matter, if a guy is week and you can only see his foot, you wouldn't wait for his head... The kill is the only thing that matters.
-
I have 57k kills with .08% precision kill rate
