Year Oners...did you dismantle your VOG & Crota raid armor?
Just wondering. I realized TTK has destroyed much of the fun of collecting stuff like this. I said I'd never get rid of my old full raid set from the past, but it's starting to look just as meaningless as collecting in the game. I was about to for my armor part shortage, but something held me back idk.
Have you guys dismantled them yet?

If anything, I keep the VoG armour because it's still one of the best looking sets in the game. I've still got the Crota armour but I might delete it if I really dont' have enough space.

I only kept a few bits I really like such as warlock and hunter helmet from the dark below. For the rest I figure if I ever want them again I can just do some more of those raids. One thing I have kept though is a full set of original Iron Banner armour for my Warlock, Titan and Hunter. Except the hunter helmet, which I didn't bother with as I didn't like its look.

i pared down my collection to one of each piece (i'd been working on multiple pieces for a 'perfect' set with the right perks but now idgaf lol). the worst thing is all the PoE gear i have sitting in my vault. after all the waiting i had to do to collect each thing from Variks every week with a non-strength perk, i just can't bring myself to bahleet it all :(

1 ReplyI kept all weapons from VOG and CE, and a full set of armor for each class as well from both raids. Ya, I am that guy lol.

Kept all my VoG and CE stuff. And I wear it sometimes and new players ask where I got it from lol

I dismantled all my CE gear. That shit was easy to get. VoG shit is under lock and key in my vault. I pay one of the sweeper bots to keep an eye on it, too (that's where most of my glimmer expenses go to, honestly. That prick is price-gouging me, too, I know it)

I kept all my VoG stuff. Crotas stuff got tossed off the tower

I used to collect stuff in mmos like wow, but i figured out its pretty pointless.

Some of Crotas weapons. But I can never dismantle VoG. Im a Day 1 vet.

Armor? Yes. All Y1 exotics that didn't get transferred to Y2, no. Also, all VoG weapons.

Raid/Event helmets almost never get dismantled. One of each weapon, just in case.

Dismantled all Crota gear. Dismantled VOG armor but kept weapons.

Once I realized those raids would remain to be completed as old content and that transmogrifying would never be a thing in Destiny, I reluctantly dismantled them. I can always grab them some time in the future.
