I always did. If you don't, you're not paying as much attention as you think. You can - always - look over gameplay and discover new things you could've done.
I find it much quicker and efficient to shoot the enemy, not their surroundings. I see where you're coming from, but to call him unskilled because he didn't shoot the explosive is a little out there. I'm not saying he's good, just saying he's not bad.
Maybe if you're not in control of the gun fight. Be in control and you can take your time. This guy was in control in a lot of situations where he died.
He's definitely not bad, but this isn't good gameplay.
What do you mean control the gunfight? A pulse rifle can drop you in two bursts. You don't have time to sit there an analyze your surroundings. Especially with the weapons I typically use.
You can always control a gun fight... Control corners, bate targets, know your disadvantages. Too many people play like idiots in this game. A prime example of bating on this map:
Consider where those explosives are. If he ran out he would be at a disadvantage with a mida. If he ran out, got shot once, his target would probably think he has an advantage (he'd lose it the moment he would chase inside after you) at that point you've got a OHK. That's an example of bating and controlling a gun fight.
