Dude. This first challenge is super easy and it is well worth the rewards. I got a*320 artifact a 310 artifact, 320 harrowed elysium launcher, 310 Defiance and a 320 harrowed defiance. I got 5 great -blam!-ing drops for this *one* challenge and it's well worth it. And I still have the whole rest of the raid to do.

I've gotten 320 ghost shells, boots and chest pieces from hard raids. Lol. You just have to grind, that's the fact of life with raids. I've played Wow and plenty of other games with just end game raids to run and grind. I've had times where I don't get shit till oryx with 20 moldering shards, and I get one drop plus moldering shards, take it with a grain of salt and keep hoping for that one run to make it worth it.

I haven't had any issues with drops, every time I run the raid I get something from each stage even if it's not an upgrade at least it's something.

No engrams left because my inventory was full, just shards. Hell my one buddy after 3 runs finally got his first piece of armor. He got guns, but no armor.

Are you running hard mode or regular I noticed that running regular gave me moldering shard drops a lot more than hard mode. Do you have an Xbox or ps? If you have a 360 shoot me a friend request "BR4S", me and my clan can run you through hard mode and I guarantee you will get drops all the way through man.

Nah we run on hm and ps4. You are seriously just lucky, it happens. But that well will run dry eventually. It happens, its not vanilla destiny bad, but its annoying sometimes. My first 3 raids on normal I got all armor, since then, no harrowed gauntlets or helm across 3 guys with at least 3 weeks running.
