Let's face it, the raid is for dedicated players and dedicated players only. You cannot play Destiny 1 hour/week and expect to complete the raid. That said, challenge mode should be specifically designed to challenge the people who are doing the raid, which are already the top echelon of players. It does not even make sense that they would create challenge mode in order to challenge casual players who simply are not doing the raid anyway! That said, I still feel like Bungie threw us a lob on this very first challenge mode simply so that we could get the 320 artifacts we have all wanted. My guess... excuse me... my hope is that the other challenge modes will be much more difficult when applied to other bosses. My raid group literally did not have to do anything different than what we had been doing to beat the warpriest.

  • You don't think Bungie is disappointed that more people aren't doing the Raid? You don't think they want a community full of people who have experienced the toughest challenges presented in the game? Because you're crazy if so. They're game makers. OF COURSE they want all the facets of their game to be enjoyed by as many people as possible. Not EVERYONE can get a Raid completion, sure. You're absolutely right. But less than 20% is an abysmal stat for such a large part of the play experience. Forget Hard Mode. 80% of 25 million registered users as of November 2015 have not ever completed ONE raid. That's painful.

I would want to see more statistics on these numbers you have presented before I make a further argument. For instance: Does 25 million users count the people who picked up the game and played it once, decided they didn't like it, and never played it again? Does 25 million count the tons of people who played it until HoW dropped, hated HoW, and then never played the game again? Does 25 million count the players who have not even reached max level yet (level 40)? Is 25 million a logical number to compare the % raid completion to? My guess is that the amount of active players (define active however you would like) is significantly lower than 25 million. Which means the percentage of active players that have completed the raid is significantly higher than the percentages you gave.
