Why have an avatar with a different gender to you?
Why would you want to change your gender? Seems a bit stupid but please give me your reasons!

Depends on the game bro. My first character on destiny and the character I put a lot of time with is my exo male titan. My other two characters are female and each a different class. I don't know why but most of the time when I am given a chance to choose a gender in a game and customize them how I want I tend to pick female. I guess its because i have been playing games for as long as I have been around but I do get tired of male main characters from time to time. I mean in a lot of games my first character was male Dragon age: Male Mass effect: Male Fallout 3: Male Demon/Dark souls: Male Bloodborne: Male But as I played and completed I would also make female characters to change this up, see how armor looks, and in the cases of dragon age inquisition and mass effect appreciate the female voice actor. But that's just me

1 ReplyI've felt this way for as long as rpgs have existed. Kinda just accepted it. Some girls play guy characters so they dont get harrassed for being a girl playing a video game. Some guys play girl characters so can benefit from pretending to be a girl playing a video game so guys would be super nice to them and or give them free stuff. Some guys play girl characters cus when riding sparrow on patrol they'd rather stare at a females ass than a man's ass? Some wierd ass reason like that, they'd rather stare at female pixels. Just meh.

Everyone's got their reasons. There's no way to get a real, definitive answer to this question. I've made a post about ONE reason before, where people play as the gender they feel comfortable being (e.g: transgender people). Then there are people who say "lol i like staring at a girls ass" in a game where you barely spend any time in a third person perspective; the list goes on and on. It's not stupid, it's just a thing people do.
