There are strats out there where you only have 1 dedicated Brand holder. He stays up top on left and goes where needed to pick up the brand. He has Red Death, everyone else rocks a Spindle. (Datto does this strat from the center)
Warpriest splits up the fireteam into 3 groups, so there is a pretty decent chance of being able to complete the challenge by accident because the final plate was different each damage phase.
Just as Warpriest is an introduction to the Raid bosses, I think his Challenge Mode is an introduction to the remainder of the Challenge mechanics. However, the lack of a dedicated "challenge" playlist means that any changes must not prevent people from completing the fight the normal way. IMHO challenge mode should be something with a toggle, like a switch that needs to be flipped before starting the encounter, which opens up more options for the devs to make it a truly memorable fight.
TL:DR - IMHO the challenge mode gives much needed rewards but is a bit of a letdown. Lets hope the other 2 are better.
