For all those hunters who use GG as Counter argument towards HOS

A more logical comparison is a voidwalker warlock. Super lasting ruffly 18 seconds useing nova and 26 just walking aroumd. Picture voidwalker being able to throw 5-7 nova bombs NOT the size of the normal ones but the size of one from the shatter perk. Titans and hunters whould scream nerf for sure. So why are titans so protective of HOS? Edit: oh and before you tell me im just a salty hunter i know how broken HoS is. You can see on my iron banner games when it was clash last time. I shouldnt be able to carry FIVE people to victory in a team game mode. EDIT: see alot of nova bombs bigher blast radius. Guys guys. I said the size of ONE shatter nova not all three ONE

    • Blade dancer and stormcaller,anyone? Look at the hunters subclasses and the warlocks subclasses compared to titans. Yr1,hunter had 2 attack subclasses. Warlock had a backup subclass(if self res) or a straight up attack subclass with another team wiping attack subclass. Titans had a simple defensive bubble and a team wiping subclass. Just a slam and it's done. No walking around obliterating everything in its way like the last most hated subclass,bd. If sunbreakers didn't have so much time and hammers to kill with,it would be like stormcaller. Warlocks really don't care. They like all of their subclasses the same. Point is,titans have nothing else good other than hammer. It makes them feel like blade dancers with nova bombs that have insta recharge. If you take hammer out,good luck with kingsfall when you need a subclass that could spawn orbs,kill enemies from afar,and help out the most when killing adds. And what about those team mates on crucible with hammer that could win you a game just because of their "op" subclass? We don't need them if we have 7 golden shots,do we?

        • I'm confused on how this hammer titan killed me. I jump up and draw my bow, as the arrow is released, titan pops hammer and eats it. His friend gets tethered since they were standing right next to each other. Hammer titan is still in hammer and destroys tether. I land and turn to catch a hammer in the face. I have footage need to make video

              • Huntards don't realize a golden gun shot with Celestial nighthawk will kill a Titan with hos in one shot. same way Striker titans had to deal with high armored classes with peregrine Greaves.

                • I like how Bungie increased the damage of Golden Gun before Taken King so it could always one shot Fist o' Panic and then in the Taken King introduce another Titan super that barely survived. Good Job Bungie <3

                  Hammer of Sol really isn't the problem. The issue is how well HoS synergizes with other Sunbreaker perks like Cauterize, Firekeeper, and Stokes the Forge. I don't think that Sunbreakers are so OP so much as other classes simply don't have the set of class perks that compliment each other the way the Sunbreaker's perks do. There is no "best build" because everything works well together and that is how it should be for everyone. I would like to shake hands with the player that actively uses Circle of Life for his Gunslinger and makes it work for him. I can't think of a class perk more worthless than Circle of Life. The Sunbreaker simply is an extremely well designed sub-class. We should all be so fortunate. Sunbreakers aren't really OP. The rest of us (Strikers and Defenders included) have just been used to making the most out of what we have to work with. Even so, people rant about HoS as if it were always active. Sunbreakers die easy enough when their super isn't up and I hate it when people ask for nerfs based on PvP experience because the nerfs always manage to creep into PvE. The shotgun nerf is going to be disastrous for CQB classes if the debuffs creep into PvE. Thanks for ruining my Don't Touch Me / Full Auto Lightweight Shotty strat for the first part of the Crota Raid.

                    • Titans are overprotective of the Hammer of Sol because it's the first time we have had a mobile super to attack with...everyone is mad about the Titan class [b][i]finally[/i][/b] catching up to the attack power of the other classes. It's a paradigm shift. Even after the nerf I'm sure the super will still be good.

                      I usually consider a Sunbreaker to be a mix of the best subclasses. They have the multiple projectiles from the Gunslinger. Health regen on ability kills from the Bladedancer (with the length given by Third Man). And the blast radius and projectile arc of a mini Nova Bomb (projectile arc is definitely a strength as it allows you to throw the hammers over cover). Edit: I personally don't believe a nerf to damage/armor on Sunbreakers would be the proper fix.

                      • I thought hunters and warlocks was still going to rule the crucible when TTK dropped? I remember them saying Titans can have their hammers, but look at the predicament that were in now :)

                        • I don't take any sunbreaker seriously. Crutch of a class. That and your one body shot kill sniper. You use either you lack any skill. I know. I have all three characters and sunbreaker is op as hell. Fact!

                        • Yea except that hammers almost always require a direct or near direct hit, whereas nova bombs just need to land somewhere in the general vicinity (as they should given they are one shot) this argument is stupid and irrelevant. Sunbreakers need a very minor reduction to DR when in super and that's it
