It's possible to do enough damage to golgoroth in six orbs/gazes to kill him. Most of the groups I'm in down him in 3-4 orbs.

Remember you will loose an extra two people from the pool, one being the other gaze runner and one clearing adds. Plus not have any time to replenish special ammo.
