Or how about 1 gaze holder 3 in the pit shooting GOGO with 2 shooting down all the other orbs before the time runs out. 6 orbs down no gaze lost. Your basic 1 orb stratergy!
or even just shoot down 5 orbs then take his gaze when the last one drops (this is assuming that you don't HAVE TO KILL HIM before the 6th puddle runs out!)
