People bitch about Bungie lying to them, setting expectations way too high, and promising things they can't deliver. Now people bitch when Bungie are straight with them.
Basically, you people just like to bitch, don't you? You'll always find something to complain about, no matter what Bungie does.

Putting "rich, cinematic storytelling" on Destiny's box and then doing a poor job of it in the base game is enough reason for legitimate complaints on its own, and that's just scratching the surface.

Marketing is all about making your product seems as good as possible without outright lying, and phrases like 'rich' and 'cinematic' are a great way to do that since they are totally subjective. All businesses do it, not just Bungie. If you got suckered in by a bunch of jargon, that's your fault.

Yea, so does Luke smith apparently. Sat there and complained about how hard it is to create a raid, and how time wasting it is.

He didn't really seem to be complaining, more just stating a fact. And it's true. I'm sure designing a raid is very difficult. He's just telling the truth, and also explaining why it takes a long time to do it well.
