At this stage, i think Bungie has no plan for this game. Who would? :P Imagine writing a book with your plan, ideas and structure, your publisher looks over it and tells you its all a mess. The publisher then goes ahead and changes your work into what he/she thinks it should be. Your revised book makes into a top 10 books due to interesting concepts, and people demand more of similar work. By this time you have moved on because the revised book no longer represents your initial work, your publisher begins to recycle your notes to keep the sales going. The publisher struggles to keep continuum because your initial concept and ideas no longer fit with publisher's first revision of your book.

  • Revised because everyone has been bitching about it. Besides that, there is absolutely no proof that the game has been changed from pre release and no proof the game has been "cut" into segments to sell for more, considering the way light level and story were designed... having all raids in one dlc wouldn't make any sense for progression in an MMO RPG themed world. Yes, it may not be an MMO RPG, but is mechanically designed in their loot system to act like one and all games of that style do this... new content takes over the old stuff, stuff becomes useless, new stuff keeps you busy for longer while doing the same thing... not new guys...

  • I think a huge problem is that since its on console, a huge number of people have never played a real MMO. The loot drop rate and grind are child's play on Destiny compared to real MMORPGs. Its not COD, you actually have to earn your gear. I will say MMOs have a trading system so that you can buy what you want if you can't get it to drop but the drop rates on Destiny really aren't bad at all, people just want things handed to them.

  • True and a trade system would destroy the point of destiny. The reason they have it in other games is because the amount of gear is insane, take diablo for instance. Thousands upon thousands of drops, the decent ones are so rare that by the time you get them, you probably won't need them but for another few levels. They add trading because the grind is so insane and pointless at low levels, anyone that puts time into the game has enough resources to build their lowers early. Realistically that game is amazing, but because of its design people don't complain about content because there are massive maps, a FEW ways to play that change it up and loot galore. I know I get excited when I see that golden beam of light. In destiny... oh yay, another legendary. . Because all gear is the exact same in terms of how it makes you play.... even the exotics aren't all that impressive. Point is, out game is to small, to few levels, a light level system that is unique and pointless and gear that really doesn't make a difference other then your light level... it's a cool concept, bad implementation, but I'm not going to bitch because like any grind game... it's fun.

  • I think you are on to something here. If they truly we trying to hobble this along though, why wouldn't they take all previous content and move it up with the new content. Make CE and VoG match up with current light levels. Why abandon elemental primaries? They don't affect PvP. I can't follow their logic.
