They have made so much money they should provide exactly what the community wants every time. They have made millions off of us. So how about they give us what we want. Hire more people if you need more help making the raids. Give us a quality game instead of ripping us off.

  • They have made millions off you because you wanted what they sold. They don't need to listen to you at all. What happened to the days when the community let the developers make the game and not complain over everything?

  • Those were the days that dlc and day one patches didn't exist for consoles lol. I bought destiny during how because I wanted it (as you stated) but from what I gathered a lot of people preordered and day one bought destiny based on what they said would be in the game during reveals. So a lot of people feel lied to. I fell prey to that for ttk I admit, but while I'm a bit irratated at them for not saying anything about cutting the effectiveness of the game in half till after majority of preorders, honestly I am more irritated in myself for not waiting and seeing. Which is why I don't make "bungie is bad" posts because ik that I as the consumer made the mistake.

  • I have been with destiny since the first week, and always felt happy with the game. Every game has its flaws but in the end we have still sunk hours and hours into it. So I say it was worth it.

  • This falls into lofty expectations category.

  • It's the truth. Me as the consumer wants the absolute best for what I pay for. I love the game but it could be a ton better. And with that amount of money that they have we should be able to expect the best. Why wouldn't a company want to deliver the absolute best product that it can?

  • Saying they need to provide the community exactly what it wants every time is highly unrealistic. All you have to do is read the forums and see different people want different things. That battle is lost before they would even start it. You can demand artists to do what you want until your face turns blue. That's just not going to happen in a realistic world. Their game, their control. If we don't like what they do/don't do, we leave. They don't have to bow to our will.

  • I know when I'm at work building a product for a customer I build it exactly how they want it as long as I am financially and physically capable of doing so. As far as weapon tuning goes it clearly isn't going to be exactly what everyone wants but it also doesn't need to change every few months. It shouldn't take more than a year to get that right. I know you can't please everyone in a large community. But i know they can provide a raid with every dlc. I know they can do better than they are currently doing. Having millions of dollars can make anything happen if they were dedicated to the consumer and not their wallets.

  • Having millions of dollars doesn't msan those things can just happen. There are a lot of logistics involved with that. I feel like people would rather have more raids even if they're crappy, just to have more raids.

  • You can build it exactly how they want, because you're dealing with a single individual, or a single group with a shared interest and goal. Right now, Bungie is like the government, and they have to deal with every single group and interest and goal of this community. They can't give us "exactly what we want" because every group wants something different. Probably not even half the community wants private games. A bunch of people want dedicated servers but I bet this game doesn't quite make enough to run those servers and keep the live team, and future development team running. And no, they should make the game THEY want to make, not the game WE want them to make. Because I would bet my bank account that the same amount of people would be disappointed either way, but at least with the first choice they could enjoy doing it.

  • The problem is that it does take a lot of tuning for weapons in this game. Bungie can't account for every perk variation in every weapon they have made. They rely on us for the feedback from those guns they couldn't account for and try to adjust accordingly. The only way to "balance" would be to remove every single perk and have only one type of each weapon. No Pulse Rifles with differing RoFs. No snipers with changeable scopes. No exotic abilities on exotic gear. Balance in a game like Destiny is a constantly fluctuating thing as long as variation exists.
