Not only do I agree with Luke, but I'd add the community is entire too entitled. It's a game made the way the developers want it, just like every game that's ever been made. You like it, you play it. You don't, put it away and play something else. But no...the entitled, whining masses must incessantly complain on the forums about every bit of minutia in the game. It's sad.

You dont seem to grasp what he is saying. Just because you bought the game, doesnt mean you get to dictate how it is made. You purchased the opportunity to enjoy their product. You didnt buy a controlling interest in Activision or Bungie

So the how does he infer entitlement from criticism? I bought the game, Bungievision created a forum for me to voice my opinion about their game. I both play and critique. Where does this bullshit!t idea of entitlement come from. I don't expect something for nothing. I paid my money. I want an enjoyable experience.

Lol. Textbook Desticle. You believe that by supporting Destiny and Bungievision, you will somehow benefit from it. My discontent does not stem from gameplay itself or how good/poor the TTK expansion is. My irritation comes from the time gating, holding back content already paid for to artificially extend gameplay and removing/making previously purchased content irrelevant for the same reason. I'm not entitled to a great experience. What I purchased and what I thought I was getting are not the same thing. Like if you ordered your Bungievision underwear from Amazon and they sent you 343 studios underwear instead. You would be a p!ssed off, dissatisfied customer wouldn't you.

That's not entitlement, that's poor customer relations. Destiny is suffering because of it. Whether it is or is not dying is irrelevant. The "refer a friend" push is proof that their numbers are declining and every time Mr. Smith opens his mouth, he makes things worse.

Day one + Beta, limited edition buyer, all DLCs, around 1800 hours, I got my damn moneys worth from this game, people [b][i]are[/i][/b] far too entitled. Game development is hard work, if you think it's easy then you might want to get yourself a reality check because this shit takes a ton of effort to do

They aren't fukin volunteers!! Quit feeling sorry for them. They make excellent money to do what they do. It will be a cold day in hell before I feel sorry for someone that goes to work and produces mediocre results while charging top prices.

Do you have any idea of the processes of game development? No, it doesn't seem like you do. Modelling, 3D development, coding, motion capture, graphics, skybox, environment, voice recording, coding, character development, lore, modelling more things, coding, hit boxes, collision detection, animation, coding, and the list goes on, and yes I would mention coding a shitton more times because anyone who has the patience for that has a lot of respect from me. I did a 2 year game development course at college, this stuff is [b]HARD[/b]. And honestly, unless you're one of the really high ups in the company you won't make more than $30k-$40k a year, excellent money is a questionable statement

If it's so hard, then why did they make all previous content null. Don't make a new Raid. Fine. Why not take the time to update all previous content and make it end game. Would it be 1/4 of the work to do that? You want to extend the grind?? I would rather have that as opposed to them time gating content, holding back content, and making all previously achieved items void!!

Also with the time-gating thing I can see you being one of the people who would complain they got everything too early if there was no time limit on it. I can see them potentially bringing in some sort of system to bring year one stuff up in future though, there's definitely enough of a demand for it. Think of year two as a reset. Year one Vanilla had this amount of content, then the next DLC will bring more, and then the next DLC will bring more, and we'll be at the HoW stage of year two, and then Destiny 2 should come out at some point after that.

I love this game. But the space magic is rapidly fading. I used to run PoE as many times a week as I could trying to get etheric light and gear that would make doing it just a little easier. That is all gone. People I knew that had VoC and Fate bringer would come in and just wreck everything and waltz through PoE. I used to envy them. Those weapons and hopes are gone.

Actually, I can foresee them pushing the reset button on us again with the release of the next DLC. Ppl are already tired of the current content and do not enjoy the excessive grind for lackluster loot. They blew their foot off when they removed elemental primaries and tried to supplement that with armor that has Raid specific perks. It's not working.

Most people here have invested the same damn amount of money into the game that you have. You're not a special snowflake for being a day one player. If you haven't been enjoying Destiny, quit -blam!-ing buying it, quit playing it, and get off the forums. Then it can't hurt you or your wallet anymore.

Lol I feel the exact same way. I feel old saying this being all of 34. But I hope this younger generation grows up soon before they destroy everything the free world once stood for including the right to piss people off.
