5 RepliesOk, so... It's a mostly PvP game with some PvE content. I can see that argument for the sake that most nerfs were because of PvP reasons. But if this is so, then Bungie makes no sense. There are dedicated servers for Destiny. Want to know what they're for? The public areas. That's right. Every time you go to the Tower or patrol on the Dreadnaught and planets you're on a dedicated server. Story missions, raids and crucible are all peer to peer. Sheesh.

1 ReplyEdited by FlareFL: 11/29/2015 6:06:12 PMBut it's not a PvP game, not yet, because there is no dedicated servers and ranking system for PvP.

Edited by Gunship: 11/29/2015 7:46:45 PMYup the decmber 'upgrade' of Hand Cannons is total BS. The end result of the 'upgrade' includes cutting the range of my Hawkmoon in HALF. I hate these clowns doing weapon tuning. You want to reduce it for PVP, fine its not really that good for pvp anyway, leave PVE the frak alone!!!!! I have loved exactly two guns in this game so far and BUNGLE ruined them both. (TLW and Hawkmoon)

Edited by Gunship: 11/29/2015 7:42:53 PMoops - posted twice for some reason...

3 RepliesEdited by HypobaricPiano: 11/29/2015 6:26:57 PMOh my god, people make posts like this on the forum constantly. Bungie has the capacity to make changes specific to PvP or to PvE, but they usually don't. Do you know why? Because they want to balance PvE too!

PVE sells the game. Pvp is meant to keep it alive. I believe.

46 RepliesI absolutely hate the freakin nerf pussies that a ruining this game...its no longer fun

Ok. Let's wait and see. If PVE weapons are nerfed again on the update.

1 ReplyGo play fallout if you want a game only for pve

I don't know what changed in PVP, but this game is by no means PVP focused. It is fairly balanced, which is great! I personally don't really care for PVP, but I do like to do PVE stuff in groups from time to time. From what I see, the game seems to be more PVE with PVP end game content. I say this because PVP battles aren't seperated based on character level or score. Outside of that, it still seems fair since you can get decent gear through Vanguard strikes before you go into the Crucible. I think the issue you are seeing is that companies tend to make changes for reasons that may not make sense, and some of the changes can be a little odd or off. I just hope they realize when that happens and they make the necessary adjustments.

1 ReplyWhat exactly do you want? PvE players raid every week, and run strikes. PvP players play crucible and run trials every week. Pretty equal balance. Good thing I am a hybrid like everyone should be and do both.

Damage is damage. Light level is what you should really focus on OP. That's the base damage and modifier on your guns for things like PvE, raids, and strikes. It isn't much of an increase, but I've never had an issue killing with any gun in Destiny across the board. It's about learning how each gun ideally works and having loadouts specific to the activity you are doing. Then you form a fireteam with loadouts which compliment one another and the activity get's done. Other then that? What you are ideally asking for is modifying too many moving components based on character selection of an activity. Maybe they should that for strikes and make strikes harder. Maybe raids shouldn't be exclusive to the bonuses anymore. Maybe, maybe, maybe... There's loads of games which try and do that and none of them have ever worked for a collective majority of people. I'll let Bungie decide what they want to do regarding that.

1 ReplyThe nerfs to the weapons don't even effect pve much...... Pulse as a whole are getting buffs against enemy AIs Shotguns are getting buffed as well to combat the other nerfs. And really, the range nerf isn't even a bother. I'm usually in melee range when I'm running a shotgun.

Thanks bungie for the shit you've given us!

Activision is at the helm. Of course its about PvP. They want another COD.

3 RepliesYeah and they took away the big PVP levels with vehicles. The PVP aspect was ruined when they did that.
