I keep seeing posts about how the first part of the chaperone quest is so hard. This is the exactly the kind of thing bungie would nerf to cater to ultra casuals.
I have The Chaperone. I got it week three cause I slacked off on the final mission (which is a lot harder than the first part). I didn't boost and I did it on my warlock. Check my sub one kd if you want, but if a scrub like me can get this gun then you can too.
I did most of my matches in Rift. Lots of people congregating in one spot makes for easy pickings. As others have said, you just need the gun equipped when you get kills so bust out those machine guns and go nuts!
Anyway Bungie, please do not nerf this quest. It's a good level of difficulty for a good weapon.

Edit: More tips
- Try mayhem, as long as your equipped primary is TLW, all your secondary/heavy/super kills will count towards the quest
- You get 3 points for a win, so equip the gun prior to a match win for easy points
I've seen a lot of people saying that this quest is easy. I'm not here to refute that. It will be easier for some and more difficult for others. But that's the way it should be. :) I'd also like to thank everyone for being civil, it's a refreshing change of pace from your usual forum fare.

Specially since u can just equip the last word when u r about to win to get 3 percent or when u have a super ready. I got it legit too but I did it on inferno since no minimap it's easier to flank people

Please make it easier T_T

I did thru the hard way: Control. Haha that was hell for me. Especially with bad connection to the ether. XD It took me more than a month for the first part. The next part was strangely within a day without getting weasel out of the game. But for the strike portion. I was at 261 light struggling to get this slug shotgun. Took me another 2 weeks to get 289 and finally get it done. Dx

My only complain about the quest is atleast it should register every kill, or take away progress slower PS - i ve done my chaperone, it is just somehow does not count kills - do remember getting 10kill streak and none of them counted

I don't care... I think Bungie should give it away because they deviated and left year one behind. Nothing matters going forward.... Nothing.

No need to nerf.

My friend that got this game 4 weeks ago has done this quest and he is terrible. No idea why good players can't do this, he didn't even camp or switch out guns.

It's already quite easy. I did the whole thing during the week of the first Iron Banner. I imagine the people that complain about it only put in like two or three games before talking about how hard it looks on paper.

It's easy already
