An open letter to "Internet atheists"
Understand that "the Internet is where God comes to die" is probably a true statement, meaning atheism on a Global scale is very minute. Other than forums and comment sections atheism really holds no weight in the world. Yes I'm your small arena of comment sections and forums do you all shit on religion, but in the real world when compared to Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, and etc. there are actually very few atheists in the world.
This whole "keyboard warrior" atheist movement is nothing but a bunch of 12-23 year olds who have intellectual inferiority complexes. They feel the need to attack all forms of religion in a space in which they are safe to do so. This space is the Internet. In which they use forums and comment sections to reassure that their insecurities regarding intellectual capacity are false.
I am not trying to insult atheism as a whole, only the community of atheists that stalk the Internet and attack all forms of religion in a zealous keyboard warrior manor. If you fall into this category and are offended, stay salty my friends. Remember anger is the first step towards acceptance.

Most atheists i know are non religious as we don't need to believe in a mythical figure to be a good person. Sorry to break your bubble but we don't care about people being religious, just the ballaching hypocrisy.

2 RepliesI don't consider myself an atheist, but I don't believe in any religion. I enjoy debating & discussing religion because it helps expand my view and knowledge on the subject at hand, along with the view and acknowledge of those who claim to be followers & believers. As an inside note, some people are venomously against religion. They see what religion has done to the world and society, and expressing their hatred online is honestly the safest way to do it. Sometimes they've been personally scarred by religion and it's believers, and feel betrayed and hurt. It's quite the emotional experience to undo the brainwashing and programming that most religions do to their followers. If you feel so vehemently against atheists who "attack" religion, then perhaps the best way around that would be to avoid attacking them and instead engage them in thoughtful discussion.

26 RepliesTo me they are the biggest hypocrites. If they are so against religion then why take time off during holidays? Why observe these holidays instead of working? The vast majority of them are religious based. Heck even taking one day a week off whether its Sunday, Saturday, or any day of the week is based on the Jewish and Christian traditions. Once they start denouncing taking time off and actually practice what they preach i will not have any respect for them.

As an Atheist. I believe in logic, reason and factual information. One those are not us usually shoving the belief down the throat. Second off I don't even bother being looked at as a keyboard warrior, and saying that the majority is overly aggressive adults and little kids is generalization. I let others believe what they wish, as the US SEAL Code says. God will judge our enemies, we'll arrange the meeting. Third. The Internet is home to hypocrisy, and is home to usually the uptight political correctness people. That's not my point. What is, is that the Internet holds many things, including "Religious war debate" bait that many people bite like a fish does to a hook. I'm out, may fortune befall you in your travels about the Internet.

13 RepliesI'm an labelled an Atheist, but I don't think it's really correct. I believe in knowledge, reason, facts and truth. Those keyboard warriors are the same as ISIS. They fly the Muslim banner but are really just wannabe tyrants looking for an excuse to kill for fun. I don't like Religion full stop. Anything that requires faith with no evidence is simply requiring blind obedience with no excuse. Like Adam and Eve, expelled from the Garden of Eden for choosing knowledge over faith (by eating the Fruit of Knowledge, which god says will kill them, but doesn't....?) I think the serpent was the good guy there :D Awaiting the salt........
