Where were all the MIDA's people claimed to love?
Where were they in year one with the thorn meta? I refused to let the op power of the thorn get to me, I was using MIDA. Outgunning every thorn user I saw(then burning out but that's not the point). Now that MIDA is getting a year 2 everyone is practically buttfuсking the thing. I am really starting to hate the bandwagon seen throughout the forums. Most people don't even have their own ducking opinion. They blindly follow the crowd.
So to my true MIDA faithful users, show the bandwagon crowd how to actually use it.
Edit: hmm, a lot of people saying it was their favorite have more thorn kills than MIDA kills

MIDA was one of my most used exotic primaries during Year 1, and actually used it during the Thorn quest. After that, I mainly used Thorn, but I haven't dismantled either of them to this day.

I used MIDA [i]a lot[/i] in my early crucible days. Around March was when I made the switch to Pulse Rifles (Timepiece, then Hopscotch, then Apple of Discord, now Nirwen's). MIDA got me through the Bad Juju bounty and a few Iron Banners though. I'll probably give year 2 MIDA a shot once the December update hits.

mida was my first exotic and my baby, got it from the vog chest and was happier getting that than the ghorn. I have the most kills with it too more than any other gun in the game

It's kind of like the hawkmoon of scout rifles, except instead of a chance at extreme damage, you get slightly higher speed. The exotic perk on this gun pales in comparison to the perks on red death, and bad juju. Plus, there are some other scout rifles with the same archetype. In my opinion, all scout rifles are good, and some of the easiest guns to use, but MIDA is definitely not worth the exotic slot.

I've been true to MIDA (I still use it in PvP on the occasion and even brought it on a few patrols recently). I always thought the MIDA was something that only a chosen few really liked...I guess I was wrong. ^_^ The fact that so many people sing its praise means they all must have used it (and liked it) at one point or another. Maybe not just for PvP.

MIDA purely for its 1v1 gunplay may not be the best but people loved it for all the perks going on in the background crazy run speed, crazy strafe speed, third eye radar, 90 aim assist (the thing glues to the head) overall it's a great fun if you play as a player who picks enemies off but if you're looking for a hawksaw equivalent look elsewhere people and bandwagoning thinking it's the next red death but it ain't it'll increase the average kill distance in games that's it suits the passive agile player or oppositely the rush Titan skating shotgunner it'll help with all these movement nerfs to shotguns

Mida was the go to gun for IB and Trials for me. Didn't really see the point to Thorn because they never got close enough to use it. The flanks were typically covered and when I couldn't lock down the first area from cover point to cover point, I found most MIDA users were the one's working with the collective natures found throughout the maps to actually hold control points so... I'm a mida user. And she was the consort of stars apparently...

It was my favorite PvP weapon but I'm sad at how late I got it in year 1:(

It was my second favorite. About 9000 kills with it. I have about 13000 with thorn lol!

4500+ kills with MIDA is ok. I didn't check mine to compare because I didn't want this post to disappear before commenting. I'm pretty sure mine will show you a true MIDA (and scout in general) user though.

1 ReplyI have nearly 16000 mida kills and it was my first exotic I ever got. I love the mida but it is a gun that is not for everyone it only rewards if you hit head shots

1 ReplyWell, I have around 15000 Mida kills. Only Suros has more but with only 500 kills, used it a lot in vanilla. And my thorn kills, less than a thousend. So Mida is my go to gun since January 2015.

Mida wasnt powerful enough to outshoot the thorn in Trials in year 1. I wanted to use it, but it was high risk low reward. I mained Vison of Confluence with Invective.
