[b]Chapter 1 Prologue[/b] [b]It's only the beginning... | Unknown Location, Terra[/b] [i]The light, it shines in his eyes. The portal opened before him nearly moments ago, he was surprised it even worked. If only Kent hadn't told Lycan and Devante to stay home, they would have loved to see the portal open. His reflection is visible on the portal, the orange sparkling portal, looking almost like Jell-O. He puts his finger through it, a ripple coming off of the area he had touched. But then, he just walked in, not a care in the world, his sword gripped tightly in his hand. Whatever he opened, he knew it wasn't going to be easy.[/i] [i]On the other side it seemed peaceful, very peaceful, almost as if war hadn't entered this dimension yet. Birds flew over head and what seemed like squirrels climbed trees nearby. Then, for some odd reason, the grass turned black and the animals turned to ash. Red "lava" started flowing out of the ground, forming a large river in front of him. The liquid started to spread apart as a large figure formed from the river. It wore a large black cloak with only it's eyes visible, blood red eyes. Black ash rising from it's back it starts to speak in a low and gravely tone.[/i] "Why do you disturb me...mortal?" "Because you've taken something of mine that means quite a bit to me." "Oh have I? And what would this taken object be?" "My sanity." "Ah, human sanity...such a worthless item to want back." "Worthless? My sanity is NOT worthless! Insanity is not something I'd like to keep!" "Well you put this upon yourself. You can't blame me, you were the one who decided to go on a murderous rampage! That sort of thing can mess up someone's mind!" "Huh, can I just have it back?" "No." "No? You can't just say no!" "I just did, didn't I?" [i]Kent grips his sword tighter, the electricity coursing through his body. He stares at the creature with a firm expression on his face, then activates his thrusters. He propels upward with his sword raised high above his head, flare in his eyes. He thrusts the sword downward...aiming, for the creatures head.[/i]
