Why do so many people follow "bungie" with words like "are"?

Bungie is a company. Bungie is a group of employees. Bungie employees are making decisions together. Bungie are a company? People is dumb?

"The people at Bungie IS doing..." or "The people at Bungie ARE doing..." To all my comments, Title said following Bungie with words like "are". If you can't tell I was being an asshole, you need to read more often. EDIT: Holy shit apparently I have to edit this again because people are really so stupid that they can't notice what the -blam!-ing joke is. This isn't about the subject or the accusative, this is making a joke on the literal placement of words for proper grammar. The title just said putting "are" after "bungie" and why it doesn't work, I was making a joke on how his point could be wrong. Holy christ I have never been this upset by a forum's inability to understand basic literature comedy and wordplay. Holy -blam!-balls.
On a side not, I now sell my accumulated salt thanks to the illiterate people who responded without thinking.
