Actually that song being in Halo is part of the reason the original Breaking Benjamin broke up. The rest of the band went behind the lead singer's back to get the song in Halo. Since he wrote all of their songs he said -blam!- you, you are all fired!!!

I thought it was that one. Just looked it up. It was over the song Blow Me Away but it was over the re-recording of the song to include the female vocals that was included on the Breaking Benjamin Greatest hits album.
