so i have been playing through the halo series ever since last night starting with halo combat evolved, getting prepared for ODST. tonight i am playing through halo 2 and i was watching the short preview when chief and johnson come off of the tran in the beginning of the game and they recieve their medals from Lord Hood. then it goes on with Cortana appearing and talking about the Covenant fleet dropping out of the space rift. Lord Hood then goes on to say it's not even half of the ships that wiped out planet Reach. The way he said it made it seem like he was there? i also noticed that he had some sort of an implant on the back of his neck and i started to wonder if he was maybe ever a spartan or an ODST or a marine? So thats basically what im asking, is he or was he ever on Reach and was he ever a Spartan or ODST? im getting the books from a friend tomorrow and im going to read them before ODST comes out but i wanted to find out about Lord Hood right now. I also get the feeling that he might be a bad guy considering his voice over is done by Ron Perlman, which ususally plays the bad guy in movies. I have played all the games and i know almost all there is to know about the games, and soon the books, but i was curious about Lord Hood. any help would be appreciated.
