So I was watching Netflix yesterday and all of the sudden my Xbox one made a loud a pop noise and shut off. I unplugged it and waited plugging it back in the power brick had an orange light but once I plugged that into the back of the one the light went out. Tried it multiple times in different outlets. Won't turn on. All I could find on the subject is that a capacitor likely blew inside. Does that seem right to anyone?
I have warranty. Only three months old. Could be dust build up? Had construction going on in my apartment. Likely cause?
No need for a console war just want some ideas as to what happened. Going to GameStop today to claim my warranty. My 360 lasted years without a problem. Maybe I got a lemon?
Also had a game disc inside. Is that likely lost forever?
Any ideas would appreciated. Pain in the ass to re download everything.

1 ReplySomething inside was defective. It happens. Don't open it yourself though, make good on that warranty first, and tell them the game is inside.
