BUNGIE, WHY TRICK YOUR PLAYER BASE?
You are killing Destiny... Console exclusives... okay fine. New Gen exclusivity, though. WHY? I would understand if it was something that was literally impossible to do on old gen, but this is just ridiculous. Why did you even put the refer-a-friend items on old gen anyway? You are teasing us. Just like that upgrade pack that you promised, you never delivered the goods , for old gen. I understand you have to let the old gen die eventually but there are still at least a million people on it. I didn't mind when I couldn't buy that thriller emote on Halloween but this is just sad. You aren't making money like this, Bungie, you are losing it. Not a lot of people are going to buy an entire console just for Destiny. You are completely ignoring a large portion of you player base. Next time, when you mention something that people are excited about, makes sure not to leave out important details.
We were willing to try micro-transactions.
We were willing to go along with all of your quirks, even get past the crappy RNG (it got even crappier btw).
But making us buy a new console to participate in new things we will not tolerate.
You should have waited for Destiny 2... That's my feedback.
I know this is just a game. I know you probably won't be affected by my post. Just know that what you are doing is stupid and wrong. One day, a person that people actually listen to is going to tell you the same thing, everyone is going to leave and you are going to go bankrupt if you don't change your ways.
Edit: Just bought an Xbox One. It will arrive in 3 - 7 business days. I will not be buying Destiny: the Taken King. If you upgrade to new gen, feel free to do the same!

No destiny 2 need better dlc better options of crucible no lag (activisions shitty servers) to move you'r ship in loading screen and last but not least more maps (his list could go on for ever but i dont have the time to write it)

26 RepliesThe only thing I want to address the the old-gen argument. As a gamer, I want the most bang for my buck. And by logical standards, a current-gen game is better than an old-gem game simply because it can do more in the engine. And by arguing for old-gen, you are hurting those of us that have current gen consoles as well as the game itself. Why should we be subjected to a sub-par game because you can't manage your finances to buy a current gem system? Everything else is fine though.

We are talking about items here, not gameplay changing events that would require NexGen processing power. There is absolutely no reason why they can't have this item based event active on the previous GEN consoles, outside of it just being another attempt to sell units moving towards the eventual sale of destiny 2. I was in adamant defender a Destiny as well as bungee in the past but I've since fallen... This is just another brick in the wall of complete bullshit that plagues this game.

6 RepliesI bought an old gen system a little over a year ago. I bought it because I am on a fixed income, and didn't want to spend the money to replace the games I had for my old system that finally gave out. Well, I have been pondering getting the PS4 system (it will just take a while to save the funds) but I am still mainly rejecting because you need to subscribe to PSN in order ti play anything with friends. But if I do do that, I will not, repeat NOT, buy anything to do with Bungies or Activision because of this cluster-'blank' of crud that they have pulled; such as removing play ability options, and the removal of being able to bring my old gear up to date. That has really PO'd me, simply because they had done that before and apologized and feel as though they lied (by strongly misleading wording) that they wouldn't do it again to us. 4 RepliesI get your points, but I really think there is a limitation that was hit in this decision to not include old gen. Otherwise bungie would not leave money on the table like this. It really is time to move on from last gen. Last gen is holding back games from true potential on current consoles because companies feel they need to maximize profits and support them. I feel your pain, but time to move on to the new stuff.

And you won't be able to get it even if you buy a new console cuase you've played longer than 7 days you if to refer a new friend or frienemy in this case who has not played before to play.
