Is there a "good" sidearm?
Sidearms are the last weapon class I need to max out for my grimoire. I have about 2700 kills to go, but I just don't like working on it. They all feel so weak and there doesn't seem to be much variation between them as there is with other weapon classes. Is there a "good" sidearm I should be using to get this done?
I finally picked up Dreg's Promise from a Legacy Engram this weekend, maybe that's the way to go? Any advice on making this process less of a slog would be appreciated.

Use a sidearm if you're in Rumble or inferno where it's hard to grab special ammo. I suggest ironwreath (iron banner) or havoc pigeon (crucible). Or use invective it's the better option

No, there is no crutch sidearm, I'm sorry. The only thing "weak" about sidearms is the user.

Be lucky with the roll you get on your Sidearms. I got one with Reactive Reload and Feeding Frenzy with Casket/Appended Magazine. An 18 Shot JabberHäkke-D with those perks is god.

I have IB sidearm and that is great, but I have a couple of others and they all feel the same just about. I love them in conjuction with a high rof ar and melee build

Any side arm with the range finder perk is the one you want to gravitate towards.

The Iron Wreath from Iron Banner is a beast, well atleast in my opinion it is. It is very good in PVP, but not as good in PVE.

Havoc Pigeon and Ironwreath are my two favorites. They're all pretty similar, just look for one with the perks you want

If you use a y2 side arm get one if the silenced ones. The flash and sound of the vanguard side arm was super annoying to me.
