Yes because more than likely you'll get something decent on an alt. You'll receive the same rewards on an alt as you would on your hunter.

ok cool, i was hoping for the hunter arms at 310+, but unsure if i'll get than on 3 hours grinding

You might, i only had one set of arms drop for my hunter. Had 2 drop on my warlock and 3 on my titan but my titan played more games. I'd prob just buy the arms, the gold bounties give a lot of marks
