It depends on story progression and characters fallout has a lot of potential In the movie because of the characters of fallout and lore.

A game about role playing and exploration doesn't translate very well to a movie. The only way it would work if it was about the War up until the nukes.

It would 100% depend on who writes, produces, and stars it. If it's some low-budget nobody, then it will probably suck. If not, it could be great. Obviously, the movie wouldn't replicate the gameplay. It would likely carry a much faster pace instead of sneaking through a room and grabbing things out of drawers.

The mistake being made by video game movies is that the vision of the directors is to recreate the game and format it into a movie. Problem is, you can't convert the storytelling of a video game into a 2 hour feature film. What they should be doing is creating a new story in the same universe.

Wouldn't be nearly as good as the games. But there's a lot of material they could work with to make a very good story.
