Why do people hate Christians?
Can't we all have an opinion? I made a great friend on psn and he is an atheist and I'm Christian, but we are still friends...

Don't personally hate any Christians themselves, I personally dislike religions. The religious people I hate, are the ones that preach and throw their fingers towards me. It's kool you believe in god, Allah or whoever else, but I myself do not and I'm completely content with that choice and with my life. I don't want to hear someone telling me "well you're going to hell then" well if I am I'll find that out when the days come my way. Not trying to be disrespectful, or hateful toward OP or anyone else. Just stating.

Some people have bad experiences with Christians as they have preached in the past and it gets annoying lol so they try their hardest to avoid it

9 RepliesMostly because Christians are "gay haters". My family had to deal with this because we are all LDS and one of my cousins came out. We still love him and his boyfriend is invited to all family gatherings. We love him and his boyfriend but he knows it's a sin and so do we.

I don't give my religion out. It's never a smart thing to do. It may cause you death, just like the Muslim who shot up the kids at his school. He went around asking people their religion, everyone who said they were a Christian, were shot up moments later

Generally because a vocal minority makes a bad name for the peaceful portion of any given religion/ideology/philosophy... I'm not a believer but neither am I a hater of religion. I take no issue with those of any faith. I take issue with those that use it as a crutch for their own internal venom aimed at others.

It boggles my mind how some can negate empirical statements n such just because someone taught em another way. Its the definition of stubbornness. I hate to have pointless arguments about something just to be told "no, cuz x said so". Some things about religion and Christians in general. -Some see you as a sinner and judge you for everything. -They give children little to no freedom of thoughts. -strictness like its dictatorship. -they are blind. And its because they choose to walk on blindfolded. -they belittle and make you feel bad for the things you like or do. -it has a monstrous past -the bible is and should not be a guide on what's wrong and what's right. -locked unhealthy traditional standards and models (family, fashion, relationships, sexuality) -etc. These are the radical side of it btw...I have 2 Christian friends but we never collide, sure maybe sometimes they get bothered n I apologize but thts it. They are normal human beings who curse and whatever.
