So, can we just all Agree that there is no best PvP Player? I think you just can't say that 1 Guy is the best just because of their Stats, DTR Score, KD etc. And tell me what you choose and Why.
Edit1: Kraftyy True Vanguard and Hovey are good Players. But they are nowhere near the best Players.
For the 11% i made a new Post. https://www.bungie.net/de/Forum/Post/175660476/0/0

There's no best player in competitive games in general imo. All players have at least match losses and so on.

Twytch.

Everyone has different opinions and since theres no real competitive play in destiny, its hard to decide which person is truly the best. Personally, i like gigglemonster. Not only is he amazing at pvp but hes pretty good at pve too. He shut down his stream during race to worlds first raid completion bc they were way farther ahead of everyone and had already figured out how to kill warpriest before anyone even got to warpriest.

I like holtzman

1 ReplyEdited by Corvo Attano: 11/23/2015 5:54:16 AMEveryone has their moments to feel badass, my recent ones is always i mean always killing one guy with the explosive barrels during my trials run. I kept laughing everytime i got one guy or even 2 with it. I so wanted hate mail to have my response be "at least i didnt die to an explosive barrel like your friend lol learn the map if your going to do trials". Any else love getting environment hazard medals in pvp?

Yeah you cant say "this guy is the best" Everyones good in their own ways. And everyone has their good and bad days. You can say this person is top tier or in the top 1% but not the best.

3 RepliesEdited by bxr_Scrub: 11/23/2015 6:16:19 AMUnfortunately due to no competitive scene like halo or COD, it's difficult to say whose the best. Sure picking out good youtubers and streamers are easy but not all of the top talent stream or do youtube vids. Until theres lan competition and tournys (we would need to get more competitive gametypes and symmetrical maps in the process) it's all just heresay. I for one would love to watch the top talent and clans in ffa and team tournys. There's over a million players at any given time playing Destiny. We have to population. The pedigree w bungie is there as well. We just need better gametypes and symmetrical maps. And it should go without saying we need custom matches.

I've made it my mission to be the best at taking down sunbreakers. Still working on it though.

50 RepliesAnd in terms of just skill, I really feel like Poshy outshines most top players. Just my opinion of course.

I will say by classification standards yes but personally no there are some really exceptional pvp players out in the crucible i will say but put all of them in an arena and its luck of the draw people have bad games and people have good games

Maybe not player, but the best sniper that I've seen is KjHovey of all streamers and youtubers. The shots that he hits are really impressive.

2 RepliesThere are no good PvPers. Due high aim assist on every single weapon. Guns tend to move themselves to stay on target. I find it hard to miss my shots.

1 ReplyToo many non-skill factors in this game. I can stay in the back, get no kills, wait for my super to charge 2 or 3 times, then go out and kill 3 people with my supers. I just got a min of 6 to 9 kills and no deaths. Given that 6 to 9 kills is more than half the average number of kills per game per player its safe to say this game doesnt require much skill, if any, to be over a 1kd. Add in the grenades that require no tactical or skillful placing to damage or kill people(*cough* axion, arcbolt, firebolt *cough*). Then you have to deal with the lag. Heavy weapons. Ammo being only available through map pickups. Also, the lack of high sensitivity settings make reaction and twitch play impossible. Good luck turning around fast enough to counter. But thats due to low frames per sec. I think. Overly high aim assist. The lack of skill based matchmaking. Putrid map design and balance. But pvp caters to filthy casuals so theres nothing you can do. It was made with them in mind. Thats why I only play IB and trials. Only for gear.

1 ReplyEdited by YoungChrisMott: 11/23/2015 12:49:44 AMHere's why I don't trust stats (but still, high KDR shows some skill) : Today in trials I joined up with a 1.60 KDR player. I am a 1.22, and here's the story. 1.60 goes and pushes the opposite spawn, nags 2 sniper shots to the head in roughly 2 seconds. Very impressive. He is quickly downed by the third and final member of the opposite team. Given that he went in so hard and fast, it took us a few seconds to catch up to him in order to push the other 2 bodies. In the attempt to revive him, the final enemy revived 1 of his teammates, Rez-sniped our buddy and the reviver got sniped also, leaving it to a 1v2 and eventually a 1v3 on my end. As the 1.22 player, I triple jumped over the obstacle I was using to separate myself and the other team, hit the ground, shadestepped into the friendly-ghost, quick-rez'd, turned my camera, shadestepped backwards into the other friendly-ghost, quick-Rez'd and triple jumped back into the air. I then used my Smoke grenade to trap two of the enemies followed by a void grenade to drain them of health which killed them both and took us back to a 3v1 situation. All of this transpired in roughly 20 seconds That's the kind of scenario that stats will not show you. Survivability, instinct, quick thinking, agile moves, etc.. Keep in mind, I went 2-0 that round. The "1.60" went 2-1, our buddy went 1-1 That's the same KDR for me the 1.60, leading to the same KDR-increase, but without me the round would've been lost. I have developed the ability to Rez teammates while laying hip fire (or ADS) on the enemy, sometimes even sniper shots. It's all about how you work the controller.

"Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why? Why do you do it? Why, why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting... for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know?" So many whys in your post. This was the first thing I thought of

1 ReplyAll your mother's said I was the best.

6 RepliesFor me realkraftyy is the best sniper and a smart team player but wishyouluck is probably the best overall individual player ive seen. Very good reflexes and is great with many different guns

Without dedicated servers at least, I will never consider this game's pvp competitive whatsoever.
-
2 Repliesi dont jerk off to middle aged men playing shooters
-
5 RepliesHigh aim assist and supers kinda dilute the "skill" needed to be a top PVPer

ZL_CHRISS is grandmaster of all pvp

Pvp is so much more than gunfights. With the combination of gernades, melee, invisible hunters, etc... there are way too many variables to be competitive. If pvp wad truly competitive we would all have the same gun, the same gernades, the same super, etc.. I would even argue that there shouldn't be any supers, no heavy and no special and we all get the same gun to use. That's competitive.
