Is there any point playing Iron Banner after reaching rank 5?
Apologies if this has been asked already (probably has)
I already have the hand cannon, machine gun, chest and gauntlets so is there anything more to be gained from still playing IB?

I got a 319 ghost drop the match I reached rank 5 in my package I got 310 of the same ghost and a 315 cloak for my hunter I'm now smashing out my titan

I've gotten many hc and armor pieces. About 5 ghosts. 2 320 319 317 313. One of the chest pieces was 309. If you have other characters tho play them. You'll get the drops on Alts after getting one 2 five

320 ghost if you want it, more legendaries to dismantle for marks... if you have anything that needs infusing up to 310.

Basically you keep playing to get higher light level versions of the gear with the stats and perks you want. If you don't care for that grind, or you have all the gear you need, then no.

You still get drops after rank 5. The question is: Do you still want IB gear after you reach rank 5?

They carry over to the next IB (heck I still have 2 of 4 bounties from the final IB of year-1 that I never redeemed, and you CAN redeem them at Lord Saladin). However, it is NOT advisable to hoard the weekly IB bounties, as you will not be able to get the new ones of the current IB if they are same as previous ones. Same goes for hoarding daily IB bounties: it is better to cash dailies in as you complete them to get the most out of the bounty rep bonuses; for weeklies, cash them in at the end of the week (Friday to Monday) for HUMONGOUS gains (1500+ rep approx with IB class item, armor shader & emblem on coupled with the time bonus. You can skip to rank 5 from rank 3 that way, haha). This comes from first-hand experience. I hoarded nearly all my weeklies on all my characters from October's IB, and I could not get new ones this time around. The only benefit from hoarding IB bounties is that you don't have to do the tasks again, which saves you time, but all the time you spend playing in the current IB could be put into completing the tasks of new bounties. TL;DR: don't hoard too many bounties. Oh, don't cash too many bounties either, as you'll overshoot rank 5 you do NOT increase in rank after that IIRC.

I haven't seen anything drop in game for anyone but hand cannons and armor. Just finnala's peril over and over again and I'm rank 5..jw has anyone been lucky enough to get something different

Edit: and even if the helmet never drops, I dunno. For me, this cycle has been a lot less stressful than the previous Control cycles, because when you give a group of complete random players weapons and throw them into a Clash game, they can usually band together and shoot all the things without need for comms. Control matches with random mike-less players is like herding cats.

9 RepliesEnd game rewards if u haven't gotten what you're after to that point. Hand cannon, machine gun, chest and arms can drop up to 310. Ghost can drop up to 320. And the ship has a small chance (though I have yet to see one drop).
