He chuckles, but there's no humor there. "Still deciding on that."

Many a man comes looking for adventure, and many a man never makes it back. But you're not like the rest. You've got quite a history, Lance. You know, it's amazing how observant Crow is. He chuckles, and walks forward.
-
Lance's eyebrows raise, looking up at him. "So you're a friend of Crow."
-
Friend? Who do you think he worked for?
-
Lance shrugs. "I wasnt under the impression he worked for anybody. I know he's ex- SAS, and we both know Crow isn't exactly a chatter box."
-
Maybe you aren't as observant as I thought you were. The emblem on Crow's shoulder, the cobra, was identical to the one on Blackjack's shoulder.
-
Lance's eyes widen. "Oh, that makes sense. That cobra on his armor just isn't for show then."
-
Emblems are never for show, Lance. The colors we fly have meaning.
-
He nods. "I wouldn't have any personal experience. I've always been on my own, and still haven't decided if I'm a fan or not." He smiles, but there's sadness in his eyes. There and gone in an instant.
-
Crow was right.... Your emotions are powerful. Dangerous to have that much power and not be in control of it...
-
He winces. "Yeah, I know. Been working on the stone cold Crow face." He glances at the shoulder of his armor. "Mr. Blackjack."
-
The mask is only part of the game, Lance. Convincing other people is easy, convincing yourself is hard.
-
Lance chuckles. "Those kinda of words can only come from someone who's been put through it themselves."
-
He says nothing, but then your eyes are drawn to a pair of old dog tags around his neck, with the letters USMC on them. We've all walked through hell. The people we've loved, the people we lost, the people we've let down... Oh it hurts. But letting it slowly eat away at your mind hurts even more.
-
"You show a lot more emotion then Crow. Although, it's still next to nothing."
-
Crow has his moments. We all do. Even then, it's a dangerous thing. With anger comes a loss of control, irrational action, sloppiness.
-
Lance's eyebrow twitches in annoyance. "Yeah, guess I have mine more than most. Again, working on that."
-
He doesn't move, his tone calm, almost mocking. Careful, my friend. Wouldn't want to do anything rash.
-
Edited by Will: 11/22/2015 3:15:40 AM"Ya know, a few months ago, before I met Crow, I would've attacked you and probably-scratch that, would've died. He's actually shown me how useful it is to not have as many buttons to push."
-
Then he's done well. I must admit, I'm impressed. You've definitely improved...
-
Lance raises his eyebrows, looking him up and down. "Ive got a feeling there isn't much you don't know about me."
-
I know more than you think. Always good to do your research on prospective employees.
-
If Lance's eyebrows could go higher, they did. "Employee?"

Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 11/22/2015 3:35:19 AMYou're good at killing, Lance. Don't deny it. You've got potential, kid. You're also one hell of a competitive person, and I know how to take you to the top.
-
He runs a hand through his hair, the other hand brushing the hilts of his swords. Habits. "What could I do for Venom?"
-
I need operatives in the city, men capable of holding their own and capable of doing what needs to be done. Since the loss of Commander Franco during the fight with the Harbinger and his forces, I've been looking for another with such potential. You're the first to impress me.
