[i] Lance shrugs.[/i] "I wasnt under the impression he worked for anybody. I know he's ex- SAS, and we both know Crow isn't exactly a chatter box."

Maybe you aren't as observant as I thought you were. [i]The emblem on Crow's shoulder, the cobra, was identical to the one on Blackjack's shoulder.[/i]

[i] Lance's eyes widen.[/i] "Oh, that makes sense. That cobra on his armor just isn't for show then."

Emblems are never for show, Lance. The colors we fly have meaning.

[i] He nods.[/i] "I wouldn't have any personal experience. I've always been on my own, and still haven't decided if I'm a fan or not." [i] He smiles, but there's sadness in his eyes. There and gone in an instant.[/i]

Crow was right.... Your emotions are powerful. Dangerous to have that much power and not be in control of it...

[i] He winces.[/i] "Yeah, I know. Been working on the stone cold Crow face." [i] He glances at the shoulder of his armor.[/i] "Mr. Blackjack."

The mask is only part of the game, Lance. Convincing other people is easy, convincing yourself is hard.

[i] Lance chuckles.[/i] "Those kinda of words can only come from someone who's been put through it themselves."

[i]He says nothing, but then your eyes are drawn to a pair of old dog tags around his neck, with the letters USMC on them.[/i] We've all walked through hell. The people we've loved, the people we lost, the people we've let down... Oh it hurts. But letting it slowly eat away at your mind hurts even more.

Crow has his moments. We all do. Even then, it's a dangerous thing. With anger comes a loss of control, irrational action, sloppiness.
