Banned words - WTF? bungie
Genocide, Halocaust, Cheat, Cheating- How are all these words banned?
I once tried to use the phrase 'cheating prevention system' in a map description and Bungie wouldn't let me.
I made a screenshot with the description "Stop genocide in Darfur". Bungie wouldn't let me.
I tried to name a map "amphetamine". It worked without any spelling changes.
I think our game developers may be drug addicts.

Censorship amazes me sometimes. Like once, I tried to set my motto as icky dog farts. Bill Engvall reference... anywho, it wouldn't let me. Apparently, "farts" is banned.

OMG we wouldnt want to offened anyone or make a joke at Bungie's expence............heaven forbid we would hurt the fragile little minds of the world! Ok that being said. Im sure its the same for Bungie as it is for XBL some one got someones password or something along those lines. At least i hope thats the case and not that Bungie dont wanna be called out on a mistake in they're game. Personally as an artist in a completlly diferent field I welcome critisism but i have yet to see any one from Bungie own up to mistakes made...............beside blaming it on the ever popular LAG

just like why XBL had the word support banned people were using Xbox Live Support as their moto and tricking people into giving them their accounts passwords. so to solve the problem xbox banned those 3 words. so now you can't even use it for something good like support our troops or support charity because some people were using it for there own means which weren't right.

It wouldn't let me say "Microsoft" or "Big team battle" once.

They also ban words like, Bungie, Flaming, Recon Helmet, and other stuff related to that.

Because Jew jokes, and cheating are very common on the internet. You also can't say Bungie, which makes me lol every time.

No, they're not drug addicts, they just don't want words on files that may offend someone. It's the word, not the sentence.
